I am ecstatic with the +2 mentality and the spirit of competition that Urban has engrained into the Jaguar culture.

why be bothered by this?

Oh no!!!

They practiced too hard!!

I’m totally good with this.

Because it likely did nothing for this season anyway and next season they won't have as many practices?

I don't see it alone as much of an issue, either, but linked with the rest of the clown show indications from Meyer it should be a concern that the guy never seems to have a clue and doesn't seem to care. If it's all just perception and he isn't a relative idiot as an NFL coach then that's fine, but if he is the idiot he appears to be then the fact that he doesn't seem to have an interest in getting beyond his clueless idiocy is the big concern.

We all know Meyer ignores rules he doesn't like, this is not news.

All coaches do to an extent..but if this is the worst we see during this period  WOW
So, to sum up... we had 100% attendance, and the practices were so competitive we violated the CBA.

This doesn't bother me as much as it bothers some other people, I guess.

Pretty much nailed it. The worry is that the Jaguars might actually be competitive on the field which would put a damper on the anti-Meyer rhetoric and we can't have that.

For real, it's better than hearing the work culture of your organization has been toxic, or finding out someone on your team was involved in a murder a couple years ago.
Lol, and when he keeps breaking rules and we end up with another letter from the NFLPA or (god forbid) lose draft picks over his ignorance/apathy of the rules then the outrage of those blowing this off today will be glorious.

The way some people seem to think about Meyer reminds me of the way some people seem to think about politics. You can't want the team to succeed and also have concerns about leadership.

I wouldn't be happy for the Jaguars to lose draft picks and become a failing team in spite of their good fortune in landing Trevor because Meyer doesn't have the innate drive to improve himself, but the way some people here are acting I get the feeling they're be fine with it as long as it's still their guy in charge.

That scenario is a giant leap from an off-season no contact fine.

I’m just gonna go ahead and not get prematurely upset about such an assumption of continued and escalated violations.

Meh.

I have gripes with multiple decisions Meyer has made and I’m not sold on him, but I don’t give two flying [BLEEP] about this fine.

And those who (in this case) ignore history are doomed to repeat it. It's not just this fine, it's the now series of mistakes, miscalculations, and perhaps intentionally ignoring the rules as if there won't be consequences for repeatedly making these bad calls.

I, too, am not sold on UM.  I don't see him possessing the patience and long-term plan to bring this franchise back to relevance.

And when his bunions start bothering him he'll be out the door and the Jags will be left holding the bag.
Haha. I agree with a lot of my fellow jag fans here. 1-15 team that did not care and now our team cared too much and got in a little bit of nothing trouble. Thank you. I will have some more of that!
