Quote:I like Odrick off and on the field. I didn't get to see the game, of course, but I'm glad He finally had it. After being the only D player to get a sack last week, the poor officiating, the poor coaching, who can blame him?

People keep saying we have a bad team/players. The thing is we don't. We have some scrub players but we also have a league who seems to hate us and coaches, mainly the HC, who isn't fit for the job. I've been a careful supporter of Gus, hoping he could get this team going, but it's clear he is not head coach material and if Khan fired him tomorrow morning I wouldn't be upset. Odrick and the rest of the team deserve better.

Maybe Odrick needs to learn to line up properly on defense before he can "deserve" better. This play not included, he lined up in the neutral zone on 4th down and short. Gave them a first down, and then a TD right after. Thinking about it now, two of SD's touchdowns came after Odrick's mistakes.

That's my thought, Speedy. Do your job, stick to basic rules, then let the chips fall. Plus, it's not as if he's special, or a difference maker, or even above average. It was an over the top reaction from someone getting whooped. Hardly heroic in my view; except bravado from Joe Blows is your thing. #EgoBruised.

Yup. The missed call perhaps was the trigger for the outburst. But it had more to do with getting beat like a drum all day long.
I'm glad he went off. The NFL looks like they are trying to keep us down. He is just fed up with the crap that the refs are dishing out. The last two weeks I've seen egregious holds and hands to the face and all kids of things in the trenches and the refs only call the Jags for penalties. That's hella frustrating. If he woulda punched a ref in the face or tackled a ref by mistake to make a point, that woulda been awesome.

and he'd probably be suspended for the year.  no, not awesome.
Gus is going to lead this team to some teary eyed success.
Quote:Undisciplined garbage. The product of this terrible head coach.

You are way off.
Like I said before, we are a small market team. Us making it to the playoffs let alone Superbowl is not good for the NFL because of $$$ so they will stop it from happening. I'm not saying that is why we are bad but that is my thought after seeing some of those joke of calls.

Odrick has never been good.. he's a hot head with no self control. Don't let your kids act like this guy... he's not a role model... he's a bad football player who will be out the door with Gus come week 1 of the playoffs for the other teams... not this one.

Seems to me he's the only leader this team has.
IMO was not a good look for Odrick. He needs to start showing up in some plays. He was non-existent yesterday if memory serves.

I agree 100%. Odrick was getting physically manhandled out there against SD. He was probably more upset and embarrassed about his abysmal performance in the game.
The constant penalties on us and hardly none on them. Every time SD made a flag gesture they got it and bull pass interference calls. Jackson was in the back field a few times and was held where he got turned around and no flag. It is bad when the player got flagged for unsportsman when the coach should be the one getting fired up for those calls. Starting to remind me of Del Rio showing no emotion on the side. But wants our guys to get fired up. Lead by example coach. I'm not talking about a Rex Ryan blow up but stand up for your team.

Odrick's one of the good guys.  Not going to knock him for getting fired up by some bad calls and frustrated at the team not doing better.  Wish all players had that much passion.

I hope Odrick gets mad and knocks over the ice cream machine

I hope he gets so mad that he whips the guy he is lining up against on Sunday. Playmakers make plays. Children throw temper tantrums.

There is no excuse for a professional athlete at this level to be so undisciplined.  Giving away 15 yards is just plain stupid.
What about his elbow....was supposed to get MRI on MOnday.

Professional or not, when everything call is going against you and your team and the other team continues to make fouls that are not called, you will eventually flip out. Fair is fair. You are already getting massacred and they just keep committing fouls. but when you do something slightly, you get flagged from everywhere.

I would have been flipped out in the second quarter.

100%. Fans get this wrong impression when a guy goes crazy and think "oh he's upset. That's good he's emotional. Its about time!" even though he just gave the other team 20 yards (5 yards for offsides, 15 for the outburst).

I remember several years back against the Jets. One of the OL made a dirty block on Big John that the refs did not call. Henderson was LIVID on the sideline. He did not get called for any kind of penalties.

And then he threw Alan Faneca to the ground like a rag doll and was unblockable the rest of the game.

You want to be a leader? Show it with your actions, not by how loudly you can shout and stomp on the ground.
