LOL at Corey Grant. I don't think he ever broke that absence seizure or whatever blank staring spell he was having. Even an erupting Odrick couldn't break it. Dude is fascinated by something.

Quote:There is no excuse for a professional athlete at this level to be so undisciplined.  Giving away 15 yards is just plain stupid.

Exactly.  There is a difference between "fire" and being stupid.

It's obvious that the childish outburst was because of him being embarrassed by being out-played, especially when they (the Jags) were "supposed" to win the game.  It's time for the young players on this team (as well as some of the veterans) to understand that there is very little difference right now between teams that are 2-0 and teams that are 0-2 in this league.

According to Big Cat Country he was going after Gus.  I can't tell but it does look like the man seen to the far right near the end looks like gus pants.

Get em Odrick! Eat him with sprinkles!!
Odrick was sick of offensive players baiting defensive players to move, then pointing it out for an offsides penalty. The O lines are getting good at it, they are usually bunched tighter and their arms are harder to see by either the line judges of the Ref, so they make a quick subtle motion picking up their hand and it's probably missed, but the defensive men get called every time when reacting. The intent of the rule change was to keep defensive players from making the offense jump, but it's done just the opposite. This was another blown call and the player was sick of it.

Quote:I hope Odrick gets mad and knocks over the ice cream machine
Hey! Keep the soft serve out of this!
Looked like Lewis was showing some leadership.  I like that.

the Jags play of the game

Odrick had been punked all day by whomever he went up against. Was non existent in the game other than those penalty yards and that tantrum. He better have been apologizing to his team and employer for that child like tantrum. Like someone stated earlier, channel that supposed anger to your opponent and things will be good..

Quote:Asked who the outburst was directed at, Odrick said: “The world.”

Odrick did become more reflective about the situation.

“I was emotional and upset about a lot of things,” he said. “It was a series of bad events for myself and for the team. And I thought I tore my triceps on the first drive, waited 20 minutes for an X-ray specialist in the back that didn’t show up – San Diego didn’t have one there. I was mad about that. I was mad about coming back out and wanting to help the team and feeling that I couldn’t fully do it.

“And the tight end jumped. It was a culmination of everything. It was coming out of the game at that point when all I wanted to do was help the team and I felt suffocated from doing so. I felt stymied in my efforts and it upset me.

“I wanted to give more to the team, I wanted to do see the team do more because I believe in these guys. It gets emotional when you care. There were moments in Miami when I didn’t care – it was like, ‘Whatever happens happens today, I’m just going to go out and play.’ Here, especially this year and the team we have, the people we have, I just want to give more and in that moment, I felt frustrated and stymied from doing so.”

i know. hey man, get some sacks (more than 2 per year) and then talk

5.5 sacks last year. Is he allowed to talk?

Will we go back and say this is Odrick's most memorable play of the season?

Hope not, but it probably is so far.
Odrick is one of my favorites on the team. Always like the Rob Meier types who aren't the most talented but play with a lot of heart. I loved the emotion he displayed... the way the team played made it seem like no one cared. Bortles and Odrick showing emotion atleast showed that the team cares and wants to stop this damn losing.

i mean real sacks. not touch a shoe lace on a diving QB type sack

Sorry, but that doesn't even begin to justify the behavior.  If the score had been reversed, he would have been strutting around the sideline like a peacock, regardless of the missed calls.  The officiating is just an excuse for an embarrassing performance.

Doesn't sound like a player who's had it with his head coach.

It definitely does not.

Sounds more like he was frustrated/frightened by his injury than anything else.

How many sacks do you want from a run stopping big end? 6? 7? 8?
