Trevor has a long way to go if Minshew has more wins then him in his rookie season.  I'm just saying.

Stoooooooooopppppp....
Snowwolf how many wins did Minshew have last year? He had 1 in many more tries.
I keep going back and forth as to whether this thread is a humorous troll or genuine. I'm going to go with genuine and if it is a troll then my hearty congratulations. Well done.

It's genuine.  Everyone knows Trevor is already a complete bust and we should be looking at our next QB with the number 1 pick in the 2022 NFL draft. There aren't any examples in NFL history of QB's that struggled in their rookie season that later on were successful.

I hate this narrative.  He had by far his best game last night.  I do not know anyone arguing that.  That does not change the fact he looked horrendous the previous 3 games.

Lets hope he continues to play the way he did on Thursday.  He played smart and most importantly did not turn over the football.

Actually, in this case, I think it does change it because of the fact that he is only four games into his career.  This could very well show that he is learning from the mistakes he made in the first three games and he is a different player than he was three weeks ago.  He's a rookie.  Rookies learn and evolve.  It's part of the process.  Michael Jordan was cut from his 9th basketball team.  It's a good thing for him that he didn't decide he was a horrendous basketball player based on what happened in the 9th grade.
I wont call Trevor a bust because it's so early lol. But anyone else notice he has a slow release/long windup? Feel like any other QB we have had this gets pointed out so fast but we gloss over all his flaws for some reason.

This is completely wrong.  Lawrence has one of the quickest releases in the NFL.

He does have a little hitch in his release sometimes but the ball comes out pretty quickly. I mentioned it before the draft. I don't feel like it's been a detriment.

Lawrence has a windup but he gets through it ridiculously fast. They used to teach the point in mechanics and to do that quickly you have to have a super compact, tight motion to release quickly. With the point out motion they teach now you can have a bit of a windup and get through the motion extremely fast while getting the extra velocity a windup affords. It's also easier on the shoulder.

You are grasping at straws trying to find a flaw so you can pat yourself on the back with your pre-darft skepticism.

go find some vids of Leftwich era jags. bring an hourglass, you'll be able to time his release just fine. then compare that to TLaw.
It's his rookie year. Manning looked horrible his rookie year too.

Also add to the fact he Averaging less than 200 ypg the last 2 games. Horrendous

Sure the receivers have played poor at times but the majority is on Lawrence. It's concerning.
