Damn near everyone said no brainer they would rather have Lawrence, I was on the fence but leaning toward the two proven elite players + choice of 2nd best QB.

So, Lawrence vs Wirfs, Jefferson, not Urban, and our pick of Wilson/Fields/Lance/Mac? I think people might answer differently this time.

The only one of those qbs I would have wanted with hindsight is Mac Jones at a pick other than #1 overall.  But still would not have traded out of the top pick to miss out on Trevor.  I think he's everything you want in a qb.  We could have drafted a tackle and a receiver with our second and third picks rather than who we drafted.  The problem was the judgment of the drafters, not the draft position.

Mac Jones is a nothingburger.  He fits right into New England's system because it doesn't require a QB to make plays above the X's and O's.  Cam Newton just wasn't smart enough to run the offense and was incapable of accepting coaching.  Mac has neither of those flaws but will never be a top 5 QB while Trevor has a shot at it.

Oh, don't misunderstand.  I would not have wanted him rather than Trevor, just rather than those Upper listed.

But honestly, even if your analysis is correct about Jones, that still makes him better than every qb we've had since Garrard.
I'm still not sure which I like better between Fields and Lance, but I would absolutely take either of them plus Wirfs and Jefferson and no Meyer over just Lawrence. And I am still not worried about Lawrence, Wirfs/Jefferson are just that good and Meyer is that bad.
The denial and collective "stick my head in the sand" mentality of you dudes who keep blabbering about "not being worried about Lawrence" is sooooo rich. Kid cannot play. Not a lick. Meanwhile, while yiu goofs dream about having his baby, Mac Jones is making plays and carving up defenses in ways Elf Boy can't even envision in his most fanciful dreams.
Keep defending the indefensible, guys. He'll show a flash someday. Maybe.

I have watched almost every single Jaguars offensive snap this season.  I would like to retort:

1.  True that some of these fans are blind and make every excuse in the world for Lawrence.

2.  Lawrence can play just hasn't been consistent enough.  He has some traits that you cannot coach:  Tall and athletic for his size, Strong Arm, Tough, appears to be a Leader.

3. Lawrence has Flaws that many fans and experts did not expect.  Accuracy is a major concern.  We shouldn't be seeing our #1 overall pick missing receivers 5 yards away on a fairly consistent basis.  Even mid range 10-15 yard throws he is making receivers reach behind them or stretch out too often to attempt to make a pass.  I know his receivers are hot garbage but Lawrence isn't helping them out either.

4. Lawrence was over hyped:  The whole comparison to Andrew Luck is far far from the truth.   He has the tools but time will tell if he will become elite.  He is elevating anyone's play.   The excuse brigade will defend him to no end but the truth is that he isn't playing well at all either.  He's the head of the worst offense in the League.  He gets a mulligan due to his rookie year but anyone saying they have 0 concerns are pretty naive.
