Well you should tell your dad that there are a lot of people who make millions in football that all think Baalke is the Hitler of the NFL. I'm gonna trust them no offense to your dad I'm sure he's lovely.
I have, he doesn't belieave no one likes him. he still thinks its  just a few people. He also says  everything thats said about Balke isn't true.   I really don't think my dad likes Leftwitch at all as jags HC. he would rather have bevell

Just keep confirming that hypothesis for me.

Agreed.  I was actually relieved to hear that he has pushed back on Baalke.  The way the local media was spinning it yesterday, he was getting a shot and was happy to work with the current GM which is  why he was the leading candidate.  That was kind of a downer.  Now it turns out to be the exact opposite, and you've got Baalke out there floating rumors to Schefter saying they were bringing in Vic Fangio?  The guy should be escorted out of TIAA Bank on a rail and dumped on the sidewalk.
Punt him

Like there has to be something beyond him thinking he's a good person for the GM spot.

Screw it.  Put out a press release and tell the world what Urban did, fire Baalke, and move on.  His focus needs to be on winning football games and not worrying about what a sleaze the former head coach turned out to be.

Yeah I wonder as well though your scenario is easily fixed with an NDA.  Shad’s loyal and apparently has some affinity for him.  I wonder if maybe he was high on Wirfs and Jefferson in the 2020 draft and had it on paper prior to (or something similar) but didn’t have control to be the one to make it happen. So Shad is reluctant to part with him thinking his evaluation skills are top notch.
Lots of smoke, I am still waiting for the fire...
Saw a report statinf that coaching candidates refused to even interview if baalke was still GM

The problem with that logic is that Baalke is not Byron's boss in any way.  And apparently (thankfully), Byron wouldn't have it any other way.

BWWWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA
The Rooney Rule states you have to interview two external minority candidates for GM spots. So far, Khan hasn’t interviewed anyone for the GM spot. Maybe Khan will just pay the fine?

Also, kind of surprised Khan would just let Wilson be GM without even interviewing him yet.

I think the Rooney rule is a bit silly in the first place.  Even more silly if a black man is hired and the owner get in trouble for not interviewing a second one.

I would presume in that scenario the 2nd interview requirement would be waived.
It is interesting the secondary players advancing through the NFL ranks. I hope we have a new spin on success. Seems to be a natural evolution that people with a love for football and strong football knowledge are being effective in football operations.

Seems the days of formal coach trees and college wrangling are being challenged. I want this to work out badly.

I’m not sure what the rules state about that, but I’d think you’d be right.  Or should be, at least.
Oh sweet baby jesus please let this happen
