Say they were to actually draft Sauce Gardner. Can any of the current CB's play Safety at least some of the time?

If not, you now have 2 high draft picks and 2 large contracts at CB when only 3 can really see the field at a time. I don't think I've ever heard of a CB rotation to "keep guys fresh", and there is no way they opt to play a high percentage of Dime given how poor the Run defense has been and our AFC South competition.

It would only be for 1 season though. We'd save $13.5 million by cutting Griffin after the 2022 season.

Sorry man; I seem to miss it every time with your posts.  [Image: biggrin.png]

Non stop motor - it'll get him sacks after the 5 second mark.. he won't be getting sacks in 2.5 seconds. He doesn't have the bend.

Oh?

Now... name the Tackles that he faced that will actually go to the NFL.

Oh wait.. NONE of them will? They ALL suck?

Damn.. I guess College means absolutely nothing when talking about the NFL. Whoda thunk it?

Nicholas Petit- Frere, Jaxson Kirkland (2023), Jamaree Salyer, Logan Bruss, Rasheed Walker, Daniel Faalele and Dawand Jones (2023). All of these guys should get drafted either in this draft or in 2023.
1010XL is doing its annual mock draft with sports writers from all the football towns. It was interesting that Walker fell to pick 13, I think. He wasn't even in the top 10. As Dempsey said, "Baalke, are you listening?"
Baalke that idiot is going to reach on Walker and pass on Hutch. How in the hell did he manage to still be a GM?
Maybe Walker will be the gem of the draft. Too close to call at this point.

1 season is still a long time.

Even taking a tackle early only makes sense if one of them can play guard this year.
I am hoping they surprise us all and draft well this year.
At this point Gardner or Williams would be the only surprise picks since the past week has led us down a path of being told it's DEFINITELY Hutchinson, no wait, it's Neal, hold up it's Walker no doubt, then again Pederson wants Ickey, so book it!

Yeah because he is all potential. You don't take a guy off potentials top 10, let alone #1. Praying this Walker talk is just all bluff.
Travon Walker is a guy that, if we were picking at like 15 and he fell to us i'd be over the moon that we got him. I think he is extremely versaltile, a big strong guy who's extremely fast for his position (I believe 4.5 40) who can even drop into coverage. The issue I have taking him at 1 is I think if we're going to go DE/LB it needs to be a guy who can wreak havoc as a pass rusher alongside Josh Allen but honestly after watching a bit more on Walker I don't think i'll stop watching the jags if they take him.. his upside is definitely miles ahead of hutchinson.. but at that point, If i'm going for upside I might just go with KT.

I would actually be a lot higher on Walker if Josh Allen was a more consistent pass rusher.

I agree completely. At 15? OK. At 1? No.
I've already submitted an request for empty ER beds within the Jacksonville and surrounding areas. If we do make an surprise 2022 first round NFL Draft pick, those beds and more will be much needed.

Time Will Tell.

Well I'll be Damned! I forgot about the Modus building...

OLineMatters just did.

You need to stop acting like he'll be facing All Pros every single week in the NFL. Here's a news flash for you, the NFL is full of bad OL play league wide. Will he face some good OTs in the NFL? Yes he will. Will he face some awful OTs in the NFL? Yes he will.

I just think it's funny that what you claim he can't do in getting after the QB in 2.5 seconds, is actually where he was at his best lol.

You've also really been on a pissy little hate boner train lately dude. Someone been pissing in your Corn Flakes every morning or what?

Who picked for the Jaguars and who did they take?  Hicken and Hutchinson?

They took Icky at #1 - Leon did the pick.

If any of the 32 GMs start making decisions via Mock Drafters, said GMs would no longer be a GM. IJS.

Walker feels like a Vernon Gholston type of player and were gonna be dumb enough to pick him. Feels like he has really benefited from everyone else being nit picked.
Icky has been an interesting possibility. I'm guessing he would play left guard. Then you would have a very good offensive line except for center. Walker little could fight it out with Taylor at right tackle. Think about how the running game would go. You should be able to run the ball well with this potential line up.
