From the title of the article the statements go, in order:

"Jaguars Expected to make 'surprise' selection with No. 1 pick."

to

"The Jacksonville Jaguars may "surprise" NFL fans with what they do with the No. 1 overall pick."

to

"There is a chance the Jacksonville Jaguars could "surprise" everyone with what they do with the first pick in the first pick in the 2022 NFL draft."

Solid "reporting" right there.

I'm surprise the fourth paragraph doesn't start with "The Jacksonville Jaguars may not do anything surprising with the first pick in the 2022 NFL draft."

Gotta cover all of your bases...like...oh, never mind...

Rumor has it that Doug is an Ekwonu guy,. I personally hope it’s Hutch or Thibs but they never seem to draft what the popular opinion is.

This is the only surprise I would be okay with.

This is just a smokescreen to keep other teams wondering if their favored player will be taken. It's a way to hopefully get teams to discuss a trade with you.

This is the only surprise I would be okay with.

Yep, if you use any other metric besides BAP, we probably shouldn’t take him. But if you are going strictly off BAP, he’s your guy.

I'd take him for sure over either either of tackles, who aren't world beaters in most other draft classes. I'd probably take Hutch, though, since I value a potentially dominant pass rusher over a potentially dominant cover corner. But if I project Hutch to be more Ryan Kerrigan than Bosa brother and Sauce to be Jalen Ramsey or Richard Sherman, then I go Sauce.

I think it's a good idea to go with the head coach's preference among fairly evenly rated players. That way it's easier to fire the head coach if things go south. He got who he wanted. But if Baalke picks Walker against' Pederson's wishes, Baalke is headed to Baalke island, which is easier for the owner to nuke.

Take Sauce because he can delete one side of the field and help the ends get sacks.
