Quote:I agree but I wonder what's wrong with Ivory.

Could just be sick. Couple that with the heat and his calf injury would limit him quite a bit.
Quote:Here we go again. Why is it so hard for people to figure out good coaches don't win with bad players and our problem the last three years was personnel?

Less than 2 hours left. Kickoff can't come soon enough for me.

Who are you saying is a "good coach"?
This game is going to come down to how well we run the ball. I think Yeldon is good, but losing Ivory is a big hit to what I'm sure the offensive game plan is. Luckily, Bortles is used to having it all on him... he's gonna have to play very efficient today and convert 3rd downs. Hope we don't struggle on the 3rd and shorts .
Quote:Chris Ivory not playing is a huge blow to our offense. 2 years in a row we get a top offensive FA and don't have them on opening day. Let's hope DRob don't fall asleep at the wheel and fumble at a critical moment in the game.

Flu that lead to dehydration maybe?

We signed Ivory for two reasons:

1. Red zone threat

2. Splitting carries

Yeldon never played on almost every running play or inside the 5 yard line last year.

We needed Ivory for the 3rd and inches that we struggled with last season.

What is a "slitting" carry?

I did not say who is a good coach. I am just saying the last three rosters are proof we could not have won more games than Gus Bradley did simply by having a different coach with an excellent track record.
Goal line situation will be interesting without Ivory. Look for the quick slants, it worked for them last year.

No, it is all about stopping Green Bay's quarterback. We could run all day and lose to the NFL's best passer.

Splitting carries. That was a typo.

Don't know why I'm replying to you, but running the ball well would control the TOP and keep that qb off the field.

A way to stop Green Bay's QB is to keep him OFF the field - with long, sustained drives ending in points.
Hope Ivory heals fast. I also hope Yeldon has a massive game today, that would be awesome.
