Figured I'd start a thread to post updates and news from the rookie gathering

Snoop is pretty thick. Maybe they drafted him with the vision in mind of him being a younger, more competent Carlos Hyde / LaGarette Blount that Doug Pederson also had in Philadelphia. He could very well be a difference maker at some point this year. I like his potential. RB's always seem to have better return value than any other position when you get into day 3 of the draft.

Austin looks pretty smooth as well on his get off and that nice little cut move to break his route inside. I know it's day one so no reason to get overly excited but it's good to see the early beginnings of guys that could ultimately end up being on the 53 man roster this year and making splash plays on offense.

Many have speculated this since the draft.  Back-up / possible power-back-short-yardage-guy - if he shows enough to earn the role.
Thanks for those videos.

Starting to get excited again.

We drafted the right player w/the #1 pick.

Meanwhile, tacks WR Treylon Burks struggled his first day of minicamp.

Yeah I’m really coming around on this idea as well.
Kevin Austin is going to become an important component of our offense. His size, speed and fluid body movements remind me of an effective TE. He runs with his legs and not his arms which allows him to bend, cut and reach. Couple that with soft hands and he's going to be a bear to defend. He'll be a Trevor Lawrence favorite target, wait and see.

Just curious, How do you measure that type of drill? Like what are you looking for to say Walker's instance stands out?

A lot of people just drinking the kool aid.

They’ve changed their thoughts 2 weeks after the draft on just about every played drafted.

It’s all good though. I’m excited too!

Months before the draft I watched as much of Walker's and Hutch's highlights to help me determine My Personal opinion/desire of whom we should select #1 overall. Walker consistently shedded tackles and guards w/the exact same technique that he utilized on that sled. He's MUCH stronger, he plays the run Much Better while utilizing this technique and can drop back into coverage when asked to do so. I'm sure that we selected the better player for what we want to accomplish. Hutch is only a pure pass rusher.

Time Will Tell.

I asking in particular about the drill, not specifically about Walker.

Mostly because I see sled videos like that all the time, but I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking or what other people are analyzing in them to make a determination of good vs bad. On the surface it sounds like the "good body nonsense" noted in Moneyball.
