Fumbling balls in wet conditions is fixable. Play calling could’ve been better with more runs, I just wonder if Fletcher Cox in the middle was too much for our interior line and our coaches knew it. Aside from Trevor’s ball security issues, there were several bad drops as well which could also be chalked up to the wet conditions.

Yup, at least 5 or 6 drops. 3 or 4 of which were by Kirk.

I don't remember it being that bad.

You don't remember Philly going for it down on their side of the field quarterback sneak clearly didn't get it.... And then the next drive ETN running for 10 yd clearly getting a yard over the first down marker and they marked at a yard short

The next play Lawrence fumbled the quarterback sneak
I don’t think it’s an overreaction to say this team is not presently built to win in wet conditions. I don’t think of the eagles as a power running team but they can be when needed with kelce helping clear the way. [BLEEP] him though.
Long season. We should be able to bounce back in a big way next week.

Doug after the game: "We'll be fine. Going to make corrections and we'll be good."
I haven't read too much of the board as I'm sure there will be a lot of overreaction just like the last two weeks. We arent as good as we looked against the Colts and Chargers and we aren't as bad as we played today. I guess I've mellowed with age. I think I used to be fairly emotional when younger but now not so much. I'm bummed we lost, but this is nothing like last year. If you told me we'd go on the road to currently the best team in the league, would lose the turnover battle by a huge margin, get whipped on both sides of the line of scrimmage, give up 200 yards rushing yet still have a chance to tie it late and only lose by one score, I wouldn't have believed you.

Obviously Trevor had a day he would love to forget. I doubt the first two balls get fumbled if it wasn't raining but knowing the conditions, he has to be more conscious of ball security. And the last two in the pocket, has to be better keeping two hands on the ball. Yea it looked like he was thinking of throwing so his hand came off but still. Also have to give the Eagles credit for making sure they reached for the ball. Wet conditions. Ball is gonna come out a lot more easily so take a swipe every chance you get.

We kept hearing how good the Eagles offensive line was but surprised our defense got pushed around as easily as it did. Again give the Eagles credit. Became pretty obvious early that letting Hurts throw would be a liability. And they just ate us alive with the read option. It worked and they stuck with it.

Which leads to my next thought of Pederson getting out coached today. I thought we stuck with the pass too much. We dropped a ton of catchable balls due to the slick conditions. It looked like early on Robinson was able to get a few good runs going. But it felt like we abandoned the run. We got behind on downs. Though the Eagles did a better job of figuring out what would work and sticking with it.

Conditions affect everyone equally but their offense is much more adaptable to the heavy rain than ours. Would have loved to see us play them in better weather. Not sure if outcome would be different as I still think they have a better roster, but our offense would have been much more effective. Theirs was so effective already I dont know that they would have played any better.

Will be important to bounce back next week. If we really are a playoff contender, that is the kind of game we should win. Houston isn't great but has been playing close games. We can't just show up and win. Under Pederson, I expect this team to come out strong next week.

Same old Jags.

They are just more talented than us. We also had a ton of stupid mistakes.
Well we basically played the #1 team in the league right now at their place and gifted them the win. Josh Allen after the game felt like we were the better team and no one is happy about the loss. Team hates losing more than it enjoys winning. That's a sign of greatness.
I'm surprised by this over-reaction.  I don't like losing either, but people are acting like we lost 38-10.  We lost on the road to an undefeated team by 1 score and us having the ball with 1:54 left in the game.  It's an out of conference game which means it counts the least in terms of playoff tie-breakers.  The Jaguars still sit at the top of the AFC South.  Next week, we get to play a team that is 0-3-1 with their one tie being against a team we beat 24-0.  The next week we play that team that we already beat 24-0.  There are no easy games in the NFL, but we're still in pretty good position with a lot of football left to play.

We were 6.5 point under-dogs today.  We lost by 8 points.  No, not a good day, but this isn't a Titanic level disaster either.

This ....
It rained a good bit of Thursday here early. They couldnt just go out for an hour and work on center/qb snaps and general handling of the ball in the rain/wind? It was a perfect opportunity. Someone at 1 Jaguar place certainly must have figured that it would be raining in Philly based on the remnants of Ian. Not good prep for ball security IMO. Lawrence fumbles it 2 less times and we most likely win the game. Excuses based on weather is BS, the Eagles played in the same weather.
They did and they just got a little more lucky than we did as they had a few bobbles and a fumble or two as well. Sometimes the ball literally bounces your way or it doesn't.

Wake up.

Just curious.  Who would you consider to be better, and why?   Even the announcer said he thought the Eagles had the most talented team.

Very miserable to watch.  Looked like the same old jaguars.

Most people have them in the top 3. He's just trying his best to hold on to his hatred for this team because being happy is to much for him.

The Jags are better than this game and so are the iggles. Both teams have their problems but the weather played a very big role in this game today.

Agreed.

Really because the same old jags would have lost by 30 quit being a tool

You didn't expect to get an answer did you....
If you told me before the game we'd have 5 turnovers, but only lose by 1 score I'd say bull [BLEEP]. Trevor had about as bad of a day as you could have and they still had a shot at the end of the game against a very good team. This should be a good learning lesson game for this young team. Staff and players as a whole.

I must have missed your comment So what you're saying is you jinxed us lol... But yeah being on the road against a very good team in that weather with five turnovers and still being in the game until the last drive is huge a lot won't see it that way but last year we would have been decimated
