Jags won't beat the colts. its all downhill now after loseing to a winless texans team. if you can't beat a winless team on your own homefield you can't beat anyone  anywere on your own. Games have to be gifted to you.

You're insufferable sometimes. Out of spite. I am saying the Jaguars win 38 to 13 and Frank Reich gets fired the very next day after Irsay has a Bobby Knight level meltdown in the owner's box.

Saddest part? I won't be there to enjoy it.

Each game is it's own story. I pick the Jags to win it because TLaw does well against this defense and the Jags are smarting from the loss to the tinhorns. Jags by 3!
24-13 Colts
I don’t know anymore. We could be slated to win the SB and lose to Edward Waters college. I’ve given up predicting anything with this team.

This ain’t college bro. Any team can beat any team in the NFL, regardless of records.
I'm a sucker for optimism. 17-13 Duval.

I got a feeling that indoor conditions favor a team built on speed. Let's see that pass rush get home and force some turnovers!

not if your the jags. you set record  to be only team in nfl to lose 3 stright games to a winless team, and your always the first team to lose to a team that hasn't won a game. anyone can beat the same ol jags. nothigs changed.

I'm going to start matt ryan in 1 of my fansty leagues this week.

You ok ?
I want to be optimistic but that pick in the end zone is burned into my mind. Until he shows me differently I don’t trust Trevor under pressure. Part of me hopes it comes down to the game being on the line, the ball in his hands and he puts the team on his shoulders with a game winning drive. The other part dreads that scenario because he shrinks.

24 - 20 Colts with Trevor throwing an interception in the red zone in the waning seconds of the game.

The league has definitely found out that Lawrence doesn’t fare well against the blitz. I promise you this. He will have to learn to switch some things up at the line and adjust or else every team he faces will barrage him with blitz packages every single play.

Some of those over thrown balls ain’t a bad thing. Some…

But yeah he’s gotta get better when they blitz him. And please….please go through your progressions. No more pre-determined throws.

The tinhorns barely blitzed at all in that game. That pick was on him just making a bad read and a bad decision. Just like the other interception he tossed in Philadelphia.

Honestly outside of the Washington game this offensive line has given him some pretty good pockets to work out of. He's just not good enough from the pocket IMHO.

His decision making needs to get better when they're within scoring range already and he needs to be better at deciding to tuck it and run at times.

If anything, the league found out he can't dissect a zone defense this past Sunday and his deep ball accuracy continues to be a problem. Pederson is going to have to balance it out at some point. Hopefully being on the wrong side of .500 will force his hand a bit.

Lawrence can get you into the red zone. That's fine. It's when they get inside the 15, 20 yard range where they need to make his life easier with play calling. TE screens, RB screens, running the ball more, maybe a jet sweep reverse or some [BLEEP] with Agnew. Anything other than the [BLEEP] gun formation. That's all I am asking for this Sunday.
I’m sadly having to go with the colts, 17-12.
I read where Lawrence has the worst QBR or completion rate or something of that effect against the blitz. Statistically, he’s the worst in the NFL in that category.

Need some optimism round here again.

Amen. 3 - 3 sounds awfully better than 2 - 4. The last time I said "[BLEEP] it" and skipped a game the Jaguars won. I am going to sacrifice my viewing pleasure this Sunday and hope they win in my absence.

Yard work, garage organization and taking the boy out to the Zoo instead of having him here me lose my [BLEEP] and have death sighs sounds a lot better for me this Sunday.

Cheers!

I get that. That was me last season. Through people leaving and covid, my boss needed someone to work on Sundays. I was spending them watching the Jags, getting angry at Meyer when I thought I could actually earn some money instead then come home and watch the games and get angry!

I think Gus helps us out again this Sunday with his D scheme and we have a similar game to Week 2 but with a closer score.

The Sad Fact is he has been mostly right.

you do that, chief.

you can't just give up when things are tough. Considering what you've been through recently with your dad, you should understand that more than a lot around here.

for the record, the colts were winless when we faced them, and won. No idea what record this is that you talk about, and frankly, it don't mean a hill of beans. If it did, we wouldn't have blown the doors off the bolts in week 3. Remember how miserable we've been on road trips to the west coast? all those streaks are little more than coincedence.
We played them pretty well in Indy last year, even under Urban Blight conditions. Maybe they bounce back. Defense handled it's biz the 1st time. ETN is getting better than the 9 for 20 he put up in the 24-0 game. And even if Taylor is back, he only went for 54 last time. I'm changing my mind on this. Assuming Lawrence doesn't screw the pooch, Jags 23 - 16.
(10-10-2022, 09:56 AM)NYC4jags Wrote: [ -> ]Meh - it's the colts and a Gus Bradley defense.

Great opportunity to bounce back. We saw plenty of opponents rip up the Bradley/Wash defensive schemes multiple times with very little adjustment from Gus.

I doubt he somehow shows up with a miracle gameplan for the Jags.
Jags should just do what they did before but throw in a few wrinkles from the same offensive looks that aren't on tape yet.

Defensively, they have to stop Taylor, and that will be tough without a healthy Fatukasi.

This matchup will be tighter on the scoreboard than the last one, but it's the Jags' game to lose.

I'm still on this vibe from Monday ^

Incidentally - since then - I heard Carlyon say the same thing on the radio about this matchup and Bradley's defense.
