Well I called it. Robinson to the jets lol
My son just told me. Damn.
Damn man.
Makes sense, really. He has an Achilles injury and now a knee injury. He’s already showing wear and tear with his contract coming up next year. RBs can be found everywhere plus ETN and Hasty are performing. I like JRob but you have to look at this through the lens of a team which just spent record amounts of free agent money. It’s business.

You’ll be lucky to get a 6th.

But with that said, I’m not trading him.
Nailed it.

Any trade scenario involving Robinson right now is unwise unless you're good finishing the year with Hasty/Connor when ETN finally doesn't jump back up from one of those clobberings.

In hindsight, knowing JRob is gone, I’ve got to say from what I’ve seen of Hasty, he hasn’t been too bad.

I know they probably weren't getting more than a 6th given the circumstances, but I would have kept him at that compensation level and taken my chances with a comp pick in 2024 if the front office was dead set on not re-signing him.
A 6th round pick... LOL. What a joke.

Just traded a good player for somebody who likely wont even be on the roster 4 months after we draft him. Baalke hasn't didn't jack [BLEEP] with all the late round picks hes had and I don't see why this will be any different.

ETN has taken some big hits so far this season. I like that he's physical and isn't afraid of contact, but it's likely only a matter of time before he doesn't pop right back up from one of them. Baalke's desperately trying to get his prized possession Snoop Conner on the field I guess.

On the bright side, this is great for my Fantasy team. I got both ETN and JRob.

Going to most likely be a 5th pick. And I have them both on one of my teams too, lol.
We need a true #1 WR. Kirk should have run that route a yard deeper, but you know who catches that and DOESN'T get sopped at the one? Diggs, AJ Brown, DK, Jefferson, Deebo, Evans, Kelce (TE I know)

Those true #1 X WRs don't get stood up at the 1 there

Prescient.

They're building a team for track meets. If we do become competitive, we better pray we play a lot of postseason games in domes. We need to get more of those "heavy in the pants" guys.

I think morale may have been a factor. His post-game comments sure sounded like he wasn't happy to lose his workload, but his lack of production in recent weeks kinda forced the issue. No idea if he asked for this after the game, but I would rather have the pick than someone who begins the rumblings of discontent in the locker room.

And for us to get a comp for losing him? We'd basically have to sign 0 FA. Unless he runs for 1100 this year, he's not gonna be breaking any banks.

Or, JRob got supplanted by Hasty. I don't think Connor factors in one iota.

Would yall trade our 2nd for Jerry Jeudy? I'd think hard about this

No.

If I'm trading picks, it's going to be for a bonafide #1 receiver like when teams traded for Hill, Adams, Diggs, AJB......

I said "yall" , I don't see Baalke making any trades that could help this team

I think Jeudy could be a number 1 with a good QB.    He's only 23 and you wouldnt have to give up multiple 1sts.  I think his skill set matches what Trev does well.  I don't think there is a top 5 WR that a team would get rid of

LOL.  Because they traded Robinson.  Why is it Baalke?  You don’t think the coach had any say?  LOL.

Emphatic no, I wouldn’t trade a second for Jeudy.  Happy now?

Do you have faith that Baalke would find a player before the deadline that would help this team out? I rest my case!

We should. Obviously, the ones specifically listed aren't available. But we absolutely should look at any available #1's. Diggs and AJ were acquired via trade.
