Wow.  What a genius.  Why should I supply a list?  You’re the one claiming there’s all these players that will put us over the top and Baalke won’t make the trade.

If there was a guy available do you have faith Baalke would make the move?

Name the one player that could make this team a playoff team THIS YEAR.

Lol, the cheerleader always chimes in. I ain't moving [BLEEP], he said name one player out there that could make this team a playoff team this year.  I could name a bunch.   He didn't say [BLEEP] about who's available. Like the million dollar man said, "everyone has a price."
If we are fantasizing then I would absolutely love DK. Make it happen Baalke!

Metcalf just went down with an injury. Not sure id part with a second till we know the extent.
Surly by this point everyone has watched enough football to know teams in contention are buyers and teams with losing records are sellers.

I love j rob as much as anyone and am sad to see him go, but when we’re tight against the cap and etienne showing the speed and success he is then it’s unlikely they were ever re signing him so the trade unfortunately makes sense,

If we lose in London I would expect to see jawaan Taylor traded as well, had an excellent season but again unlikely they can afford to sign him and he’s walking anyway after the season
(10-24-2022, 12:03 PM)wg171 Wrote: [ -> ]I agree with moving Allen. No way I would tag him.

The team just has too many obvious holes.
Offense - LG, RT, TE, WR
Defense - DT, Edge, CB, S, a 3-4 End

I include RT because Taylor will be a FA

Allen is so indicative of good jags players recently. He's good but not elite. Not worth top money but good enough that any replacement could easily be a downgrade. That said I would try and move him. Like Yannick he's not worth what we would have to pay IMO.

It's hard when your 1st rounders are 50/50 on if you should resign them. At the same time he's the first one in a long time that it's even a consideration to resign him.

Taylor has played much better than expected this season. I would trade him for no less than a 2nd round pick as good tackles are hard to find. If they don't trade him, he would be worth resigning. I realize he will cost a good amount, but unless Walker Little improves I'd find a way to sign him. Cutting Griffin and Marvin Jones will save a good amount of money, although they will likely need to also not resign Evan Engram- which will hurt some.

Buddy. You moved the goal posts when you asked if he had faith Baalke could make a move. That wasn't the point that either of you were trying to make. That's called "moving the goal posts" to change the initial argument.

Keep up.

I would too like to resign him but I very much doubt we are going to have cam at $17m Brandon at $20 and Taylor at $15ish all on the offensive line next year , yes it’s one of the most important positions but it’s just not realistic

Who knows. Did you think Hill, AJB, Adams or Hopkins would be traded?

I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Bengals trade Higgins, Commanders trade McLaurin, or Panthers trade Moore.

we can't afford any of those guys, though. Or we get the tease of playing them this season, and waving bye-bye as they ride off to the highest bidder this March. Hard pass.

such as?

And be sure you're considering the limited cap room we have this year and next - along with all the sacrifices that would come with an impatient, win-now move. In the end, how helpful does that move become?

I'm not making a trade for them during this season.

I would be doing it in the off season. They're stuck with who they have this year.

Lawrence Taylor.

Like Prime Lawrence Taylor

The Kismet would need to be running a lot of "supply runs" down to Miami and back, if you catch my drift Wink

We have lost by 1 score every game even with this defense.  Jamaar Chase alone is worth 1 score.  I could name a ton of players.  Do I need to go down the list?  Last week we were 1 yard short from a win.

And we let a wet fart of a QB run for 100+ on us. And the week before that we couldn't hold a team from dropping 6 on us in a two-minute drill. We have 2 sacks and 0 turnovers in the past 3 weeks.

The problem ain't the offense. It was just fine when the D was performing.

Lol.

Jags announce they will now play one game a year in Colombia

No, because I don't think he's as irrationally myopic as some on this board.
Who do you think is available that we should be moving for? What's the projected cost, and is the expense justifiable?

As in, if we toss a 2 at a team for yet another WR after throwing insane cash at the position earlier this year, are you cool if that leaves us with another year of Bartch, or Taylor, or Jenkins, etc?

I mean, this is a fun topic to hypothesize over, but we also have to be realistic about not only expectation on the field but the impacts such moves would incur.

...you do realize you're posting in a thread about trade deadline, right? Usually guys need to be available for a team to entertain an offer. Otherwise, you're gonna be pulling a Ditka and trading away an entire draft for the dude you're infatuated with.

so if you can name so many, throw three out there. Genuinely curious.

We need to play proper complimentary football. Neither the offence nor the defence is good enough to win games on their own when the other is struggling.

(Also, there is not a trade for one player out there that would make this team a playoff contender this year without crippling our draft capital, and then it still wouldn't be any guarantee. We are one injury away from disaster at multiple spots.)
