Cannot overstate this enough. My favorite part in this past Saturday's game was the crowd causing a false start on their final drive. They set up a 3rd and long and made it nearly impossible for them to pick-up much and keep that drive going on 3rd and 4th down.

Total game changer there. That's huge. That should be the new norm going forward if this team keeps winning.

Our family Christmas had to be rescheduled because of Covid and it's this Saturday at 6pm. Gotta break the news that we're leaving at 730pm. Merry Christmas to me with a Jags Wild Card game under the lights!

I believe.

Mike Williams carted off
Joey Bosa re-aggravated his groin injury

Keenan Allen healthy this time.

Looks like a similar game to last time except Allen in over Williams and Herbert healthy obviously
Feeling good about this. Something about this team showing up when it matters most

When it the last time you could say that? Not sure you could ever say that really.

I'll be in Kentucky visiting friends this weekend but I'll be somewhere watching this game!

2017 playoffs.

Even if we lose, this season was amazing and I’m proud of the team. We have a springboard for next year.

Cmon baalke beef up the Oline in the draft and find more defensive weapons!

Williams was carted off yesterday against the Broncos. Joey Bosa was also hampered or taken out of the game with an injury. Herbert's good to go though now. His ribs aren't a factor. He's been making some crazy [BLEEP] throws since then.

This game is going to need another strong performance from Josh Allen and Travon Walker and the linebackers have to be ready for Ekeler in the passing game. Keenan Allen is also in for this game I believe and he's a savvy veteran at this point in his career. Can quietly kill you on drives like Keenan McCardell used to do during his prime.

Going to be fun.

Devin Lloyd is going to get ABUSED by Ekeler. Ekeler scares me more than anyone on the Chargers.
Interesting they gave us the night game. I thought 4:15 SAT was the AFCS game, always.

Lloyd has been much better as of late.  In the 1st game Ekeler had a whole 53 yards against us when Lloyd was starting.  I don't see Lloyd getting abused by Ekeler

We aren't losing. I'll back us against anyone now. We have nothing to lose. Whatever happened we're a playoff team.

I look forward to a Lawrence-Herbert shootout and our guy will come out on top.

Agreed.  Lloyd isn't that big a liability as many think he is.  On top of that, he's only playing roughly half the plays on D.  I think they are trying to keep him mostly to run heavy situations, which is a great adjustment.  It lets him be able to make decisions quickly and play fast.  Another great adjustment by our D.C.

On a side now...  Am I just being a homer, or is the Chargers V. Jaguars look like the most exciting game on the entire schedule for next weekend?  Seriously, every other game just looks so [BLEEP] lame.

I'm interested in the Dallas/Tampa game, but only for the lolz.  But the rest of the games on Saturday and Sunday seem like blah blah rematches of teams that are not very interesting to watch.

I do.

Ekeler only had 4 carries in the first game for whatever reason. He had 107 catches this year including 22 in his last 5 games. He had 8 catches against the Jags in week 3. I think their offense goes as Ekeler goes. Keenan Allen is playing very good as of late too but Ekeler can be a matchup nightmare. Lloyd still struggles a lot in pass defense.

Phinz game could be interesting if Tua plays.

And this is because he's a liability in pass defense.

I think you're totally right in that he plays much faster when he doesn't have to think. If he's in there during passing downs, I think the Chargers attack him.

Yeah, but I think they putting Tua on mothballs till next season.  I don't see how he comes back this season after 3 head traumas.  It's a shame, too.  Cuz Tua was looking really good throughout this season.

I was thinking this at first too, but rematches are always tricky because of the familiarity, especially for division opponents. Also, in the last 5 years, it's pretty rare for all the higher seeds to win in either conference. I think last year's AFC is the only instance.

I just don't believe the Chargers coaching staff is going to be that aware to expose Lloyd in a way that will cost us the game.  They may get a first down here or there, but it's not like we'll see the consistent chunk plays on ever down when Lloyd is playing Will LB, I just don't have that must respect for this Charger coaching staff.

Really??

They damn sure were aware of it the first time we met.
They hit that little shallow crosser on Loyd 6 times in that game. (no exaggeration - actual number)
In fact - it was what they put on tape against him that led Philly to completely exploit him the following week.

Two weeks later he was getting benched.

Caldwell will work to continue alternating Muma in on passing packages, but I'd fully expect that OC to seek out Lloyd in coverage when he can. Hopefully Caldwell calls packages more efficiently this go 'round.
I was going to drive up with my daughter if it was an afternoon game. Would have been her first Jags game. Excited to watch it on TV regardless!
Jenkins gave up two 4th conversions in the 1st quarter, on the same drive, with the same play. I’ve had a change of heart about him but he’s gonna have to tighten that coverage up.
