Yep. Solid pick that gave us extra picks for us to use later on to move up.
Mel kiper had him mocked to us @ 24. Watching his pro day tape, our coaches helped run the drills. Can start @ either tackle. When the new came out about CAM we were almost locked in @ tackle.

Granted, I Dalton Kincaid goes to the hall of fame then we'll feel kind of silly, but a.) if the Jags had that kind of grade on him they would have taken him b.) We got paid 4 it. A 4 5 7 and the guy we probably targeted.

If anything I'm MD @ the salary cap, not baalke.
Now let’s get the guard from Florida. We all know Porter is a Steeler

What I liked about the pick:

1. Tackle is a big need and Harrison was a pick in which need and value came together. Most had him rated between 25-30 overall.

2. He is very young (21) with the potential to become much better with physical maturity and good coaching.

3. Ability to play right or left tackle.

4. Has traits which can eventually make him an elite NFL tackle like so many others from Oklahoma.

5. Jags were able to add 3 picks (4th, 5th 7th) with trades enabling them to trade up on days 2 and 3.

What I didn't like:

1. Deonte Banks would have been my pick at 24. I believe he can become a shut-down corner. Jags can still get a good
    nickel/corner in rounds 2 or 3, however.

2. Harrison was certainly not a "sexy" pick who will initially create the buzz that Banks, Porter or Nolan Smith would at pick 24.
This is nit-picking since all that matters is how much a player will help the team.

Draft grades mean nothing other than making some fans initially ecstatic (Eagles and Texans) and others miserable (Lions). That being said, most
sights have given the Jaguars a grade between "A" and "B" . This seems about right to me and I believe Baalke will do a lot more trading with
the extra picks they received. I'd be very surprised if they don't come away with a pass rusher and nickel/corner tomorrow moving up at least
once to get a player(s) they really like at these positions. If this happens, it would be hard for Jaguars fans to be anything but excited after
the first two days of the draft.
It is funny all I heard was we need Ol Trevor cant get the ball to the WR if he's on his back blaw blaw blaw now they do exactly that and some still pissing a storm . 1) No one other than Baalke and Doug built the culture and the team when everyone here was giving them [BLEEP] including me. Now the Team got some level of respectabilty they should do what listen to what any of US the nay sayers have to say now. When we paid for kirk it was [BLEEP] when we paid for zay and Evan it was a bitchaocalypse. I learn my lesson to shut up move [BLEEP] and get out of the way an let the architects build their master piece.
4.98 40 @ 315, 34" arms.... and we have an outstanding online coxh and a Qb who gets rid of the ball faster than anyone except Joe burrow....

CHAMPIONSHIP!

Seems like a solid pick. I've long envied teams with great offensive lines, and we have so many question marks right not with Bartch being injured, Cam being suspended, Taylor gone, Scherff aging... We have a lot of weapons and a great young QB, but we have to have a good offensive line to make it all come together.
Protect Trevor!
I was wanting a DT or a CB with our first, but there wasn't enough depth in the draft at those positions not to feel like we would be reaching on a player.

Good value at a deep draft position.

He gives us depth back with our big uglies on the outside with potential big upside.

Not a flashy pick, but a solid pick.
Deonte Banks or Nolan Smith were very enticing to me at pick 24. However, I do commend Baalke for trading down and getting better value for the pick. With Cam's suspension and likely 1 year tenure, Jawaan's departure, and not wanting to count on Wells, it was necessary to protect the most important asset on this team....Trevor.

We needed an OT... Period. LT or RT. We still don't know if Little is the long term answer at either spot but we know for sure Robinson is not and he's gone after this season due to cap reasons.

I’m not as down on Cam as some others. The eye test says that he played better last year before injury. But we may need to cap space in a year.

Looks like he has all fundamental physical tools and skills. The weaknesses are totally coachable. Good protection for Trevor.
[BLEEP]. Cam. Robinson.

As long as Little doesn't crap the bed...we will move on from Robinson.
With some other players falling, especially DBs, I was a little surprised by the pick. I imagine Harrison was in the same range as those players on the jags board however. And the issues with Cam probably swung the need to OT more than other areas.

Said on the board months ago with our 5 picks in round 1-4, I was hoping for three lineman (offense and defense). So I'm happy we're addressing that area early. And with those extra picks we acquired lsst night I'd love to see us package them to jump up to 3rd round and get someone high on their board that has fallen.

As far as our oline I wouldn't we upset if we drafted another guy in the first four rounds. I do think Cam, Little, Harrison, Scherff, Fortner, Shatley, Bartch, Wells, and van lanen is a solid line with quality depth. Knowing a couple of them will likely be gone after next season though we'll be back in this same situation.

I agree with this last tidbit in bold. Which is EXACTLY why nobody should be shocked nor disappointed if they sit tight at 56 tonight and decide to take another offensive lineman. The biggest name being Cody Mauch. If he's not there I am saying Steve Avila are Chandler Zavala possibilities.

If they wait until RD3? Where it's like they're coming back up tonight with the amount of draft picks they have going into Saturday and Sunday. They could still get a prospect like Nick Saldiveri, Anthony Bradford, Andrew Vorhees or Nick Broeker.

They're not done addressing the offensive line though.

He’s also young. Gonna be 21 the entire season.

And with Rauscher coaching him? I love this pick.
