Wouldn't be opposed to that, I don't really want us to keep Cam past this season but if Little could play good ball at LG it would certainly help us this season.
Cam Robinson says Anton Harrison reminds him a lot of Jawaan Taylor. That’s good to hear.

anybody with a firm spot on the roster can get their reps and conditioning in practice. some minimal contact to get used to being hit again, but let the bubble guys get time on the field in the PS.

I might give them a series or two just to be sure things like sideline calls are getting in the huddle ok and line adjustments, but no reason to risk injury if the team is already in sync and ready for the games that matter.

Coach Campo says he needs some playing time before the season starts in order to get re-acclimated to contact.

@as a WR, how do you acclimate to DBs lunging at your ankles?@

That’s all a DB does to a WR? He doesn’t check him up or rub him on routes, or tackle him after a catch while trying to force a fumble?
Training camps just arent what they used to be to me. Sure would like to see these new generation go thru a tom coughlin camp. I wonder how the old players feel about all this bubble wrap treatment. I find it harder and harder to get excited like i used to. Maybe it just needs to ramp up idk man.

I say let him play. You cant be afraid man.

I agree, but with the money these guys are making, those days are over forever.

For what benefit?

Strength, condition, training, and nutrition have all dramatically improved since the 90's. Plus nearly every players is much more now likely to stay in shape and training year round as opposed to cutting way down during the off season back in the 80's/90's. Yes some players didn't veg out during off season, but now it's basically impossible for them to do that and get away with it.

And if Trevor gets hurt because you wanted to “toughen them up” during training camp?

These guys take enough punishment during the season. No reason to beat the crap out of each other in practice.
Oh man this is so good LOL. Not training camp related, but what a great joke.

17 games is a long season.  If you put a guy in a preseason game for a few series, what is that worth, compared to getting the reps in training camp?

I wouldn't play the starters in preseason at all.  Not even the new guys.

You can't practice real game speed though. I agree with not playing our main guys for too long, but they have to get some live game speed play in during the preseason to get ready for the real thing.

These guys have seen "real game speed" before.  They don't need to be reminded what it's like.  A lot of teams in the past have not played a single starter during preseason, and it didn't hurt them at all.

Three fifths of the starting OL are going to be "new" to some degree.
It is well documented that these units take time to settle into knowing each others assignments, tendencies, and when to bail one another out vs staying locked into their own block.
Do you really not want them to play a few series together in preseason?

Would be terrific for Gerrit Prince to turn into a matchup problem for linebackers and corners, the way Engram is. Pederson could maul some teams by playing Engram and Ridley out wide with Prince and Strange inline.
