Have we ever went undefeated in the Preseason? Lol
What a change.  We’re going to be cutting a good deal of players that are going to end up on other teams, especially at WR and TE.
Really want to monitor the DaVon Hamilton situation.

And they charge full price for those tickets.

I guess it’s notable to see who played on the o-line then.  According to the game book, both Cam Robinson and Walker Little started on the field.  That’s a hard circle to square.  Surely Little will be starting the season at LT.

Hmmm. Riddles, inside a mystery inside an enigma.

I don't know, but I do know that one year the Lions went undefeated in the preseason and winless in the regular season.

And one year the Redskins went winless in the preseason and won the Super Bowl.

Interesting, huh?
Where have the McManus touchbacks been? Our special teams coverage was about the one poor thing that stood out.
We haven't won many Preseason games in recent memory. We have some depth on both sides of the ball, it is refreshing to see talent battling talent to make this roster. Hopefully the high intensity and execution carries over into the real deal.

Preseason is about evaluating special teams.  I’d bet the short kicks are intentional.

Yeah , I knew about that but you if watched our team in the past in the preseason, most of the games were very hard to watch and we lost a ton because of how poorly our depth was.  We have pretty good depth now at a lot of spots and this has been the most fun to watch preseason games in years.

We have lots more talent now than in the recent past.  Credit to our General Manager.

And just think 9 out of 10 fans wanted him gone just a little over a year and half ago.
And credit to Doug Pederson and staff who are clearly getting more from all of the players.

What bodes even better for the future is Shad Khan, FO personnel and the coaching staff all seem to work well together. There doesn’t appear to be any acrimony, but of course that is difficult to determine from the outside. All seems harmonious - for now.

Little started yesterday at LG while he is assumed the regular starter at LT. He played out of position. So no, not really that puzzling.

Based on the two step approach on the kicks I agree.

I don’t think it was him explicitly, I think the stench of the Urban era had spread over the entire organization and a lot of people just wanted a complete house cleaning. He’s definitely changed a lot of minds in that regard though.

He had a real bad rep coming out of San Francisco after the Harbaugh debacle. He seemed to be just another bad pick/holdover when we all wanted a clean slate. If he starts messing with Doug then the pitchforks will be right back out for him.

Pederson indicated the kicks were short purposely so they could evaluate the return special team return defense players.
Hamilton didn’t even play and somehow ended up on crutches? What happened?

He wasn't in warm ups either, so that's the million dollar question. Nobody knows how he got hurt until Doug says something about it.

Chaisson with the free 1st down

Jeremiah Ledbetter looked like the most impressive player in the entire pre-season game.  The Lions have major depth issues on the Offensive Line, behind the team's top 6 Offensive Lineman. Ledbetter reinforced this, regarding the O-Line interior, 10 fold.

Ledbetter was drafted by the Lions in Round 6, in 2017, and released in the cutdown to 53 in 2018.  Even factoring in the Offensive Lineman he was up against on Saturday, it was the type of performance that should earn him more opportunities.
