I agree with Ridley to an extent if hes pouting. No more downfield throws to Agnew. It's not his role, and he simply isn't skilled enough to be a downfield receiver in the NFL. Those downfield throws should be to Kirk, Zay, Engram, Ridley, Strange.
When things are said with no context it doesn’t help, there’s every chance he was pouting(if he was) over his own performance and wasn’t happy with himself. Trying to find a narrative and assuming he’s a bad team mate is just a harmful take

WOW that ain’t gonna work around here. Kirk didn’t pout early in the season. Jones ain’t either.

It just happened so there hasn’t been enough time to divide the locker room.

These tweets have been describing Devante Adams, not Ridley.  No idea why people are mixing this up.
Ridley deserves more targets.

Mia's voice is annoying.

It's all coming into focus. Doug's presser after the Texans game where he said some believed their own hype. Ridley should be traded at the deadline as part of a package for Danielle Hunter/Brian Burns. Let Zay and Tim Jones take his snaps. Won't be much drop off.

(10-20-2023, 01:47 PM)NewJagsCity Wrote: [ -> ]Just heard it. It's Ridley. They are basing it on him leaving the field early while the rest of the team was celebrating. Also supposedly upset because the coaching staff didn't challenge the out of bounds call on his sideline catch.

Yeah, it's really great that Mia O'Brien is out there stirring crap up again.

I thought she worked for the team. She's acting like Bart Hubbuch (Bent Hubcap), the anti-Jags T-U reporter from years ago.

Doesn't surprise me, though. If there's not drama for a while, a woman for sure will create some.
So Mia O'Brien said Ridley left the field quickly, so maybe he's pouting, and now we want to trade Ridley?

Seriously?
He's gonna be 29 in December and this is a contract year for him. He probably feels he needs to put up huge numbers to get this last big bite at the apple and seeing 1 catch for 5 yards yesterday isn't going to cut it. There was a definite level of immaturity in what he did and how he reacted once caught and punished and that doesn't even include the walking away from both football and his prior team prior to the gambling incident.

To his credit, I saw some maturity from him in the few interviews I saw this offseason and pre-season. I hope he is and can stay a "team first" guy because anything else isn't going to fly around here. However, I would not be shocked if he is in fact a "me first" guy as that's what his previous actions indicate he likely is and given the circumstances in my first two sentences above, it will be hard for him to hide the "me first" attitude if that's who he is at his core. Hopefully this is just the media stirring [BLEEP] up.
Is there any actual evidence of Calvin Ridley pouting other than Mia O'Brien speculating that he might be pouting?

What I saw the last few weeks was Ridley getting pounded in the body. He looked tired in this game. A lot of the players looked tired last night, so leaving the field quickly may have been him just wanting to take the pads off and get some treatment before getting on the plane.

Unless someone says something, it's just made up stuff.

I posted in the game trade that maybe they are trying to showcase Agnew to trade him. Giving him all these WR plays to increase his value. It was nothing but a joke because it made no sense for him to be out there.

Mia floated some pure speculation because he went to the locker room quickly after the clock ran out

I wouldn't waste time worry about a radio show speculation that may be complete garbage

this is what fantasy sporps does. You don't care about the W-L column, you care about the  stat sheet for your guys.

I haven't seen this anywhere.

That was Davante Adams and it was two days ago. This is how misinformation spreads.

Raiders, robbers, same difference.
All competitive athletes get frustrated. So far I have only seen one talking head GUESS what Ridley was thinking after the game. Additionally tweets about another player. Please posts the tweets if you have seen some from Ridley. He is now playing after not being allowed to and maybe he feels he needs to make up for lost time, adding pressure. Leave him alone and do not make a mountain out of a mole hill till Ridley does. I am sure this helped Mia. Not that she would do that on purpose...Wink
I'll worry about this type of nonsense being spewed out by the media when I can see the clear frustration on the sideline like I saw with the Saints sideline last night or the Giants sideline this year.

Ridley will have his fair share of opportunities as the season progresses. Still a ton of football left. Also, maybe had he not dropped some easy passes and hauled in another TD or two earlier this year he would get more targets.

I remember distinctly people on here pissing and moaning about Lawrence trying to force it to Ridley earlier on this year. So, not buying this narrative at all.

It's been a long, taxing four weeks for this football team and it's impressive they have won four straight given all of the circumstances, injuries and logistics of traveling.

For all we know? Maybe Ridley needed to take a piss or drop a deuce and he's trying to get back home as soon as possible to rest up for next Sunday.

This all being said, I’d float him in a trade for Burns or Hunter in a heart beat.

No no, then we’d give up a 3rd for a 6 week rental.

If they give us Burns and a 5th for Ridley I’m down.

We can go after T Higgins in the off-season or something

But i like Ridley man, if he can start playing with a higher IQ and relax a bit, I think we definitely need to go his way more. Especially over Agnew. Why are we treating Agnew like Randy Moss in some of these packages

Really!  Things are finally going well for this team and we have to manufacture drama.

The game plan was for Trevor to get the ball out quick.  Ridley was double teamed every down and most everyone posting during the game was all over “Mal” getting so many targets.

This is why we can’t have nice things.  This fanbase overreacts to Everything!  Including me at times.

I haven't seen this anywhere.

I am not seeing this but my ears heard it like the title says. Mia reported it on 1010xl and Leon Searcy made the comparison. Mia also said there is a post on Twitter or  X that says the above statement from Ridley about he’s not here to hangout and his success isn’t based on wins and losses but greatness.

It was also reported by Mia that Ridley is running the wrong routes. So to the guy saying Ridley needs to run better routes, that ain’t got nuttin to do with it. He’s running the wrong routes meaning he’s running the incorrect routes of what the play call is.
(10-20-2023, 02:00 PM)Cleatwood Wrote: [ -> ]So do we have any actual quotes that relates to Ridley being a "Diva" or is this all speculation because he walked off the field? Come on now.

We won and are 5-2 so got to have something to complain about it seems.

People's opinion on Ridley changes every week. One week he's great, next weeks he's lost it. Guess we celebrated him last week so this week he's a diva.

I heard Mia report on Ridley left the field early, and I heard Mia report that Ridley is running the wrong routes. I also heard Joe C report a tweet that Ridley wrote about not here to hangout.

Lol!!! It is!
They should of challenged that deep sideline catch last night. I thought it was a catch last night but they let it go.
