This sounds like rumor. I guess better to be speculating about these type of things instead of if will we get the first pick of the draft like in previous seasons.
Also, coach pederson said that Ridley is in a good place. He added that the saints were rolling coverage over his way.

In my opinion, It’s obvious that opponents (know he’s a problem) that will ruin defenses, so they will try to double cover and do anything to take him out of the game plan.

Yes... he did his job and opened up routes for his teammates.

It's only a matter of time for him as well. It's not like Trevor has abandoned him out there. He went to him when the team needed it the most to ice a resurging Bills team in London. He probably did make that sideline catch in New Orleans that could have maybe been challenged and won.

What this team really needs is simply more time in the pocket for Lawrence to read and react but to also enable Ridley to run some double move routes to break away from double coverage. I don't think he's a deep threat. His route running is what makes him good. I think once Little gets back at LG it'll be something we'll see more of.

Those forced plays to Agnew were more than likely in play for Zay and once Zay is back that aspect of the passing game will have to be respected more once again which opens up everything else for everyone. Engram is another guy we'll start seeing more of. Especially in the redzone.

I think wisdom would dictate that we need to have a few scripted short and intermediate plays for him in the first 20. We want to keep him happy and invested.

If defenses want to invest their resources in guarding against the big play from Ridley, let them do it to their heart's content.
  • It allows us to open up other plays, obviously
  • while not the perfect-world scenario, it also may keep his stat line in check when it's time to re-up the contract- might skew things in our favor a little bit
  • he's going to have some big games anyway - it's inevitable - we'll face a few coordinators who will be overly confident about defending him and we'll take advantage
  • If (big if) this OL starts to gel after Little's return and can eek out a quarter second more time for Trevor, Ridley's going to be threat almost regardless of safety help

If a player isn’t mature enough to understand that he isn’t getting the ball because the defense has keyed on him, then that’s too bad. He can join Ramsey’s drama club.

He 's done nothing but repeatedly say he just wants to win - doesn't care about stats.
Ridley is literally doing everything right.

The entire thing is a non-story that Mia O'Brien started with a baseless speculation.

Exactly.

I don't understand why people are trying to typecast him as a diva WR.

He seemed fine and not "in his feelings" in the interview clip above. If Kirk keeps getting the lion's share in the passing game, Ridley will almost certainly have a game or two very soon as defenses adjust.

The sight of Barney Fife uttering his hysterical catch-phrase makes my day. I needed this after watching one depressing news story after another this week. Thank you! Barney, along with Ed Norton, was my favorite comedic side-kick who never failed to bring me laughter.

As far as Ridley is concerned, it is irresponsible for media to insinuate he is unhappy due to lack of targets. I've seen nothing to this point indicating this is true.

WE MUST HAS DRAMA

Without drama, what would the taekmongers do? Actually pay attention to the games?

In case people don't know what they are reading when they see this chart they're talking about the considerable difference between his targets and Atlanta versus Jacksonville at this point of time in the season and his lack of targets in the middle of the field as well.

I wonder what happens when you overlay Julio Jones's graphic from 2020 with Ridley's from this year?

LOL

Not knocking your post at all - but comparing routes and targets of Ridley in a different system, playing a different position, with Julio Jones ahead of him on the depth chart to this season is about as useful as comparing a fax machine to a carrier pigeon.

I mean - did someone think Pederson would put Ridley on a team without a true X and play him at Z so they could treat him like ATL used to treat their #2?  That would be really silly.
Found out who was pouting. Actually, more than 1 person. It was the fantasy owners who ending up losing due to Ridley's lack of fantasy points.

Picking up any of our receivers in fantasy football was a huge risk. Good offenses that are loaded at the skill positions usually share the wealth weekly.

Ridley is overdue for another big game though. I don't know if it's this Sunday but it feels like Engram needs to find the endzone soon.

You're the second dude in this thread to throw down the "typical woman starting drama" [BLEEP]. Knock it off. Not all of us are drama queens and we damn sure don't like being generalized with them.
