Don’t like this matchup. I picked the Texans on my grid sheet along with 5 others. (10 players). My other grid sheet has 350 players and it’s split about 50/50.
And for all the Josh Allen supporters that say we should resign him, this is one of those games where he can prove it. He tends to play good in division games.
Watch out for the gadget plays. They gonna try to steal a possession or 2.
All these things point to what should be a Texans win:
1. Texans "jinx" : Have won 17 of last 20.
2. Texans playing like the 2nd half Jags of last season and seem like a team destined to win the division due to easy schedule and Stroud's quarterback play.
3. Jags missing two very key players. Tyson Campbell and Zay Jones' absence will be hard to overcome.
That's why I'm picking the Jaguars to win by the score of 31-28. That's the kind of season this has been and the Jaguars are not ready to hand the division over to Houston quite yet!
It is possible for the Jaguars to be either the #1 seed or the #6 seed in the AFC playoffs after today's games. It's funny to me that Carolina's only win this year is against Tinhorns.
IDK, it just seems to me the Jags don’t really play their best unless they are playing from behind and prospects stink and their written off…. When they lose this one , we will see the good Jaguars going forward…
Jaguars 20 Texans 45

Not funny to me. This is professional football.
I’m still waiting on that dude to reply back about a 3-13 team not being able to hang 40 on a 13-3 team. (Not you josh)
If the Jags want respect, today they need to TAKE IT.
A loss and the rest of the world will view the Jags as that team that can consistently beat bad teams, but cannot raise their game to beat the better QBs in the league. They won't remember the Ravens win from last season, or the Cowboys win from last season, or the TWO Chargers wins from last season.
Time for the Jags to make the jump.
Beating the Titans wasn't it.

Pretty sure Zay Jones is playing. Our offense is better with him active, makes it more difficult to shade coverage toward Ridley.
Having Tyson Campbell and Davon Hamilton out is a big negative for us. We need all the defensive horsepower we can get.

Well, it's only a negative when both players are at 100%.
I wasn't impressed with Tyson when he came back too early ( that 49ers first TD pass should have been a pick ), and it was clear that when Davon played he didn't have his normal strength.
Not playing both....Montavious and Foley are currently better options and I expect both of them to have good games.
Game day let's get it boys!
Feels like Hamilton and Campbell are never going to be ready this season
Still feeling like it's a tough 27-20 win for our boys - gotta get some pressure on the rookie and execute the plan on offense without all the mistakes from the last tilt
Do that and we fly home in charge

Tyson clearly needs time to get healthy - hasn't looked good this year compared to last season when he has played - gotta just hope he's 100% for the playoffs and the backups continue to hold steady.
Hamilton may end up taking a while also - his absence stinks in this one since we get very little interior pressure without a healthy D-Ham. Need a banged up RRH to find a way to collapse the pocket a bit. ILB blitzing may be required today to keep Stroud from getting too comfortable if the IDL guys don't get any push.
It is a big day for Montaric Brown playing CB in place of Campbell
He is allowing a 61% completion rate - 8.5 yds per catch - around 65 yards per game and 3 TDs allowed in 4 games played.
It's important he stay on a similar pace or step up even more.

From a fan perspective, I'm glad this is an away game. It would be absolutely miserable at the stadium today.

I just said the same thing to my wife. It's cold rain and we would be soaked before kickoff
They showed Cam Robinson giving a huddle talk.
'Don't do like me and get beaten to allow edge rushers to sack Trevor! Play hard!'
After watching these pregame talking heads I do not understand why we are even playing the game. According to them the Texan defense is gonna smother the Jag offense. then CJ Stroud is going to pick us apart. Then after the game show us how he walks on water. Seems according to them opur players only made the trip to get the frequent flyer miles. Why do I do this to myself ... Why do I watch these guys? Is there a 12 step process to cure me?
The Jags are going to feast on cow meat!!
This game will be of Serious Consequences. All I expect is for our Jags to play good football and the final result will prevail.
Time Will Tell.
NH3...
