Worst coach in NFL history was Bill Petersen with the 72' Oilers. Couldn't even deliver a coherent pregame speech. Bengals hung 62 on him too when they weren't even trying and Pastorini almost quit the league over him.

I think Gus is making a strong case to upgrade his case for consideration though.

Yes. The worst. Ever. Not even debatable.
Yes. I can't even create a lie that would be a good excuse for him. He's just not good at this whole coaching thing.
Looks like this thread was correct. Mularkey is better.

After we fired malarkey, I really felt we could do no worse than him. I was wrong, very wrong.
Malarkey has got some wins under his belt right now, might end up with more wins than Gus.
I'll answer this now : easy yes. The Lions coach who went 0-16 was bad, but hell, he might have a better win % than Gus.

IMO,  Rod Marinelli was far from the Lions worst HC,  though he was better suited as a Defensive Line Coach or an eventual Defensive Coordinator.  Marinelli won 10 games combined his first 2 seasons before the 0-16 season.   The Lions biggest issue in that era was Matt Millen was the 2nd worst G.M.  the Lions ( and maybe the NFL as a whole ever had ),  with Russ Thomas arguably the worst G.M. in NFL history.

The worst Lions and NFL HC I've ever seen was Darryl Rogers, who nate mentioned on page 8 of this thread.  Darryl Rogers actually counted the pigeons on the roof of the Silverdome and said what does a coach have to do to get fired from here!

There is no "might" about it. He does. Gus Bradley has the second worst winning percentage of any coach who has coached at least 50 games.

I can see Gus being the traditional post-London firing of the NFL season. It would give the interim coach two weeks to prepare for the first game.
