This is regarding the OIC's decision to allow biological males to fight biological females in these Olympics. Since it's definitely political in nature I'm putting it here. The problem isn't confined to the Olympics but it is the big story right now and it speaks of a problem across all of sports.

The president of the International Olympic Committee has insisted the two gender-row boxers are women because it says so on their passports.
“There was never any doubt about them being a woman,” said Thomas Bach as he defended controversial bouts involving Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting.
However, as he hinted at Russian misinformation, Bach misspoke by wrongly denying the pair had differences in sex development (DSD). “This is not a DSD case, this is about a woman taking part in a women’s competition, and I think I have explained this many times,” he said, sparking confusion.
The IOC then immediately issued a correction on its social-media feeds, saying he instead meant to say “this is not a transgender case”.
Bach had been attempting to claim in definitive terms that the pair, who did not appeal two failed sex tests in 2022 and 2023, are women. “We have two boxers who were born as a woman, who were raised as woman, who have passports as a woman, who have competed for many years as women,” he told press gathered in Paris. “This is the clear definition of a woman.”
Fairness-for-sport campaigners have been outraged by fights in recent days, with both boxers easing past their opponents.
TIIC (the idiot in charge) is defending his decision by saying this,
“What we see now is that some want to own the definition of who is a woman,” he said. “And there I can only invite them to come up with a scientific-based new definition of who is a woman. And how can somebody be born, raised, compete and have a passport, as a woman cannot be considered a woman if they are coming up with something, we are ready to listen, we are ready to look into it.
“But we will not take part in a politically motivated cultural war. And allow me to say that what is going on in this context, in the social media with all this hate speech, with this aggression and abuse, and fuelled by this agenda, is totally unacceptable.”
The bolded part is exactly what he is doing by allowing known athletes who have failed tests showing testosterone levels to be above acceptable limits to compete against women. You have to be incredibly stupid or willfully ignorant to think this is not a political issue. I'm 100% sure there is some hate and discontent being said but it's not hate speech when people are speaking out in plain terms about how wrong this is.
I've never been in the position to have worked very hard and sacrificed much to be at the Olympics as an athlete but if I was told I'd be competing against a man I would step up to the starting position of whatever sport I was competing in and then take a knee. There is no way in hell I would give my competitor anything that could be considered a competition victory even if it looked like I sacrificed all for nothing.
It's not nothing when you stand for what you believe in and for what is right. If anyone wants to argue about the right and wrong of this situation, don't. There is no argument.
I remember in my youth back in the 70's the Olympics was a huge deal. Back then the only sports we got on television were either live sports such as the Olympics or Wide World of Sports. I used to watch every Sunday and it didn't matter what sport they were showing.
Today after seeing a few clips of the disgusting display that they touted as the opening "ceremony" I did a personal boycott of the Olympics. That was nothing more than an "in your face" by the alphabet group as well as an intentional insult to people of the Christian faith.
Then I see news clips of this guy beating up on a woman and thought to myself "this isn't even sports". The fact that some are defending this guy for doing this and at times celebrating his "wins" makes me sick.
Liberalism is a mental disease and it is infecting a lot of people. They think that the opening "ceremony" and having men "compete" against women is normal.

What a silly comment.
Ok so 2 years from now and 4 years from now we issue passports to males that say Female to all our women's team. We should clean up no?[/i]
(1) The IOC is run by unqualified people who think they are experts in every sport.
(2) The IOC does not have a broad rule about how to define gender across sports. They defer that to the rules making organizations for each sport.
(3) There used to be rules about gender for boxing, but the IOC and the IBA are in a pissing contest right now for other reasons, so the IBA rules on gender were voided and the IOC has no rules on the subject.
(4) No one has any evidence that either boxer was anything other than assigned female at birth. They simply have very high testosterone, probably due to a naturally occurring sex disorder that is no one's fault.
(5) In some sports, like Track and Swimming, the testosterone level would not matter at all. These manly women would be allowed to compete, no problem.
(6) In boxing and other combat sports, it matters from an athlete safety perspective. They should not be allowed to compete, in my opinion.

The issue of gender eligibility criteria surfaced at the 2023 world championships when Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting of Taiwan both won medals in the women’s competition before tournament officials announced the boxers had failed gender eligibility tests. They were stripped of their medals.

Actually the next Summer games are in the US (2028) we can just deny these guys entry into the country if this poop is still an issue. IOC don't like it, well they can give back the bribe money and find another location.

It's not a contradiction. It's a sequence of events.
The IOC has no gender rules. The IBA does. The IBA banned these women. But the IOC revoked their recognition of the IBA before that ban occured, and the IOC has not adopted a new rule or recognized any new competition committee that would allow them to investigate the matter and presumably ban these women.
I also have to emphasize that women like this have always been around winning medals. It is not new. This is not any grand conspiracy to introduce more gender confusion. This is simply unforeseen consequences of a dumb pissing contest between IOC and IBA that isn't even about gender.
The woke hive mind at work/ If you were born with a penis, you should not be allowed to compete in the female competitions. I saw this sick story a few months ago where a man in his 30's was able to compete with and even get dressed in the locker room with 13 year old girls for swimming class.
Trans rights are impeding your rights and destroying women's safe spaces. Just insanity.

These people were not born with penises. At least, no one with knowledge of the situation has claimed they were.

Right, swimming had a hormone based rule that Thomas passed but now instead they have changed it to a birth and development rule. Each sport has their own rules and the rules can change.
But note - the IBA banned these women based on a hormone rule. Opposite of the Lia Thomas situation. We have no idea if they would also be banned based on a birth and development rule.
I don't give a [BLEEP] about birth, development, hormone levels, etc., if you're trans you compete against other trans or you stay home. Since there isn't a trans category these athletes should be beating down doors demanding there be one (equality!) so they can legitimately compete but they don't want that, they want to be seen as what they think/feel they are and want to compete as such. In sports that's BS.

Wrong. The IBA was stripped of its status four months after they DQ'd the two athletes.
From the article:
The IBA was stripped of its status as boxing’s world governing body in 2023. That decision came four months after the body disqualified Khelif and Lin Yu-ting from the 2023 World Championships.

There's no evidence that these people are transgender. They're probably intersex or a similar disorder. Intersex assigned female people have been in the Olympics for about a century.

Your pretty big on others providing proof. Since you made that statement I assume you have it. Care to provide it?
Biologically, Lia holds an unfair advantage over competition in the women’s category, as evidenced by her rankings that have bounced from #462 as a male to #1 as a female."

Careful.. Don't piss off the Intersexed Female People of Transtopia. He prolly has their flag on his wall.
All of this was predictable and therefore preventable. Hate to say it, but, sometimes you need people to hit rock bottom and see how bad it can get. It's not just the Olympics, for sure. We can go back and look at a lot of instances of this.
Between Wrestling, Swimming, Darts (recently this came up as well in the Olympics), Basketball, Weight Lifting, etc. It's a [BLEEP] joke. Was tired of it then, beyond tired of it now. I don't think people will really care though until it hits a more commercial or important aspect of the Olympics if it hasn't already.
Like a man running the track events with women, the sprints, etc. That'll be the one that probably pisses people off the most. You would think a woman being a punching bag and getting manhandled by a biological male would be enough, but, nope. We're still neanderthals.

Heinrich formerly Dora Ratjen is the most famous example, he identified as a man later in life but was raised as a girl/woman and competed with females. He was both anatomically and hormonally intersex.
Castor Semenya is a recent example. She has male hormones but female body parts.
We should assume there are other examples that never became public.
