That’s kinda how I see it. I thought Cooks showed some good hands in his rare appearance last year but so far, it’s been anything but. Maybe try to stash him back in the practice squad.

That's fair. We'll see. TE is a hard position to jump up into at the next level. Guys like LaPorta make it look easy.
Just depends on what your expectations are. Mine were low to begin with last year for him.
His career at Penn St. was more on par with blocking and moving in and out of the H back position.
I immediately thought on draft weekend last year when he came up.
"OH, ok, this is Trey Burton for Doug Pederson".
People were thinking Zach Ertz or Dallas Goedert I guess. That's not Brenton Strange's game though.
