Thanks, I didn't know who he was talking about...  Uche was from Texas.  But I didn't have enough time to try and figure out the Samoan reference.  I didn't even think Chris Naole was Samoan.

Still, anytime I can reference Uche, I will.  I freakin' love that guy.  So long as I'm alive, his memory will be here.

I loved his YouTube work and loved him on the Jags as well.
No one on the team is going to openly say he has lost the locker room. Even with with all the terrible train wreck coaches the Jags had you don't hear it until the players have left the team or the coach is fired.

anyone knows what he is saying after the game? it honestly seems like the guy doesn't care anymore. I just wanna know if it still looks that way.

I haven't hear his presser yet, so I don't know what he's saying.  But I know what he's feeling...

You ever play tournament poker?

There's a moment when the blinds are getting bigger and your stack of chips aren't quite keeping up with the momentum of the table you're on.

Then, there is a hand you get that's pretty good.  Good enough that you need to hit on.  The hand you have isn't pocket Aces.  But's it respectable, so you play it, because you can't afford not to.  It's a coin flip hand after the flop, and thankfully you win the hand.  You didn't go all in, so you didn't double up your chip stack.  But you made enough to get back ahead of the blinds.

You finally get a win and get some breathing room.  But there's still a long way to go to actually get ahead.  I have a feeling that's the type feeling and responses Doug will have in his presser.

There are little things I look for to try and judge how together a team is. Things like celebrating together, helping each other up, motivating each other etc.

I saw tons of that today. The players played with so much effort today and you could see how much they wanted a win. Proud to see them still fighting

It's one win.  Hopefully that "DUVAL" becomes a "DUUUUVVAAAL!!!!!" in 3 weeks.

The team is happy for a win.  And Doug is happy he hasn't been busted by an inside straight.  But that speech isn't one of enthusiasm as much as it's one of relief.  But that's just my opinion.

It's a dude who gives zero farts about the media trying to brew up controversy. It's banter.

He said the win should take some weight off TLaw's shoulders, and he's right. Regardless of the media obsessing over a rather nebulous stat about his last win, you know as a professional in the back of his mind it does start to cause anxiety and over-playing to try and carry everything himself.

The jab at the end about them getting off his own back was fine, too. It's gotta be exhausting when you are busting your rump out there, you finally have a win to celebrate, and everyone wants to focus on negativity.

I think he's a step down from Marshawn's "I'm just here so I don't get fined" when it comes to media time. I don't know that I can blame him for being tired of the same question week in and week out (or more frequently, for some media members).
