Just think, if Ridley hadn't taken the cash, we may not have drafted BTJ.
Funny how life can reward you and screw you.

Nah, it would've been Kirk, BTj, and Ridley along with Washington. Gabe Davis was the replacement for Ridley that was the penalty for Baalke [BLEEP] that deal up.

Sadly your probably right. That would have been a nice WR room but not sure BTJ would have got as many targets. Now he's our standout #1 WR.
Not sure we'll be able to move Gabe but will be an interesting camp battle for #3 WR between him and Washington. It's Washington's spot right now.

I think next year it's BTj, Kirk, Washington, Davis, draft pick/UFA guy. We didn't see anything out of Josh Cephus this year, but he might be a #5 for next year. Same with The Mount Union kid Wayne Ruby, guys that have been here a year who we have no feel for. There's also the Tim Jones Experience who usually doesn't stick around for his pass catching skills to consider. Then I really think this team needs to get Brenton Strange and Evan Engram on the field together more, that's a potent combo to scheme up.

It is awesome to see BTJ have the kind of year he has had. We have never had a rookie wr with this kind of promise, not even Blackmon.

Easiest closing schedule in the league.

I agree with this. I don't think we spend an early draft pick on a wide receiver. We have too many other needs and we can't let Davis go because of the salary cap implications. The only exception would be if we could get Travis Hunter and used him as a part time as receiver. However, the Jaguars probably played their way out of getting him today.

We are picking 5th now guys. There goes next year lol
This is true. Baalke stated right after we selected BTJ he likely would have went another route if we were able to resign Ridley

We were able to defend that last pass and won the game because
A. Rudolph threw a change up instead of a fastball.
B. It was thrown late, 2 steps earlier and we lose.
Still a win is a win, not sure to be happy or sad.

Positives:
BTJ
Travon, Maason Smith, and JHA all get sacks.
It looks like we may have hit on Maason Smith. 3 sacks in limited action shows he can push the pocket.
Offensive Line has been solid as well.

Feels good to get a win against the titans. Don't think this changes Shads mind. Pretty sure it has been made up for awhile

ETN played well. That slip in the 3rd Quarter sucked. But he's serviceable. If ETN want's to get a better contract next season, I'd be happy for him. Dude is a baller and needs to get paid. Rather he gets paid than having to suffer through this organization.
Folks trashing ETN are chumps. He busted his butt for us. It's not his fault we have a slob HC that can't inspire a team and a moronic OC.
Yeah, he fumbled week 1. But a real HC should have still beat Miami. We were still ahead. But the entire team quit. And that starts with the slouch HC

In other news, Logan Cooke is slacking in the secondary.

I liked that Wingard was in the game on the last play.
We won. So that's good. But it's not like it's gonna be a great week for us. It's just a long green walk to the chair. And that chair... Who knows. Maybe it'll be a new beginning. Or maybe it'll be a repeat of all the pain.
Time will tell.

Not sure what you're talking about, because the Jags exercised the 5th year option on ETN so he's coming back next year no matter what. He's not a free agent, and there is no way the Jags are going to sign him to a long-term contract based on his play this year.
