Quote:From the same speech, "We're working with Turkey to seal its border with Syria.", yet no mention of securing the border with Mexico....showing he really has no understanding of the reality of the situation in his own backyard.

In all fairness...  Mexico isn't a war torn nation in the midst of a civil war with with half of the fighters wanting to kill us all...  I mean, unless you live in the deranged mind of trump, that is...
Quote:Re: Obama -- the bank bailouts and saving the auto industry were incredible achievements. At that time the Dow was hovering around 6,000. I don't hear anyone complaining now about their 401k fully recovering an their property values soaring.

Re: Obamacare --- that's a disaster. If you're sick you're most likely going to rush out and obtain insurance while people feeling healthy are going to risk going without it so they don't incur the additional expense.

Side note on Obamacare. Better get sick during open enrollment! It's not open year round

No, but it is a virtually unrestricted pathway into our country that he still has no plan for after 8 years of denial.  If you worried about the safety of your house, don't you think putting a lock on the door would be prudent?  Trump is a buffoon, but he's right about border security and other Republicans agree on this point.

While I appreciate your analogy and can understand that point of view.  I live in New Mexico.  I'm right there on the border (well, about 200 miles from it) on I-25.  Anyways, being a border state, I'm not concerned about immigration in terms of a safety risk.

Now the fact that illegals are taking jobs is another thing.  But the solution there is to curp demand, not try and cut off the supply.  In order to curp demand force the employer to prove each employee is a legal resident and/or citizen.

That would fix the problem.

You may not be concerned for your personal safety, but that doesn't mean others aren't, or that their fears are unjustified.  A terrorist attack in your local area might change your perspective.  That being said, I think you'll agree that rural New Mexico is probably not a high value target for ISIS, which likely enhances your comfort level.

There are already laws in place designed to prevent illegals from getting jobs and they have been proven to be highly ineffective. What has Obama done to fix the problem?

Well...  I think this is the main crux of the issue.  One side finds this "illegal immigration" thing to be a UUUUGE problem.  The other side?  Not so much.

This is what has always made america great.  We get to vote and decide whether as a nation we believe it is a problem.  If trump wins, we'll know that I'm in the minority on this topic.  If trump loses, then the majority of people will have decided illegal immigration is not worthy of such a large expenditure of time and money.

Shouldn't be hard with everyone coming back from the Olympics with Zikas all through their bloodstream.
Manafort has resigned. No big surprise.

Trouble in Ukraine
Lol, Clinton is just chillin in the cut, laughing.

Seriously, the trump campaign just can't get out of their own way.

Even when they have a good week, it's not all that good.

The auto bailouts were awful.  Ford is proof - none of them deserved it.  The only folks he bailed out was the UAW, which was a favor to his voting base and contrary to what was in the public's best interest.
Quote:Wouldn't get too excited about the 401k if you are young. The market is due for a huge correction. It isn't going to be pretty.

Soros is banking on just that, with his hedge funds and his investment in causing it to happen.

If no one has bothered to research him and realize this is what he does with devalued currencies and influencing market behavior (always enriching himself from downturns in economies,) they should look into that.

Or still stuck in Imaginationland?
So were the auto bailouts aweful because they cost the Nation 20 Billion Dollars?

Your linked article from The Heritage Foundation says that the bailout would cost us 20 Billion.  Is that why it was so aweful?

Yawn I guess the 5.9 billion Ford took doesn't count?

Tired of the stupid lie. Ford too received
Quote:His lack of life achievements, mostly.

So, it was no surprise that his greatest "achievement" in office, was an all out failure (Obamacare.) Unless of course, breaking the system was the objective to begin with. Which, is entirely possible if looking through the Cloward/Piven lens.

The man with a Harvard degree lacks life achievements.
