Willie T. I forgot about that guy.
Maybe I was reading too much into that but after listening to Bortles, Olson and Bradley interview on the homepage it's quite obvoius how important they hope/think Beachum will be.  (also Gus said that he should be ready for the start of training camp and that they had to slow him down a little because he's so competitive he wanted to partecipate in some of this minicamp too)

Olson said that on film they saw qualities in him to make him a top 10 LT and that their expectations is that once healthy he will prove that.

Olson also added that while the right side of the Oline is going well, at the left side the competition is open and about Joeckel he didn't even comment about him at LT but said that "at LG he looked good considering he never played there" and then he went on to talk about Beachum at LT and their hopes for him.

Bortles also put emphasis on the return of Parnell and Beachum at the tackles position and didn't name Joeckel once.

Unless Beachum ends up being really disappointing or Joeckel suddenly starts playing that much better once the pads are on I think Joeckel days at LT may be over.

Also let's keep an eye on Bowman, undrafted rookie TE that we signed and that has been performing so well apparently with a crazy catch yesterday.

They want to give a look at him at fullback too, Gus specifically mentioned him and their will to see what he can do at fullback as they don't have one on the roster and if he can manage both positions he could be important the team.

Him and Wilson appear to be the 2 undrafted rookies that have impressed the most so far

What date does actual training camp start?

Gus kept saying "39 days" in his presser.

So that'd be late July

~25th I think?
Quote:Hopefully Fowler doesn't rest on his laurels after whipping Joeckel all Summer long. Going up against actual NFL linemen will be much tougher.

I know. ...consider that Brackens had Boselli to practice against.

. Rookies report on Monday July 25th. My 31st Birthday. The veterans I believe report Wednesday July 27th and 1st on the field practice Friday July 29th. First practice in full pads should be the following Monday. The past 2 years they've held the first full pad practice at a local high school. Well at least that was the plan. Last years was rained out.

It's a long dead-zone....

Here's hoping for zero news on Jags players until then. This time of year, no news is good news.

It's DUI and paying with bubble-gum season.

Evans is an interesting guy to watch.

He was a 4th round pick just two years ago and did nearly nothing for the Jets.

He had a few moments this week but has almost no chance at making the final roster.

He missed his whole rookie year with shoulder surgery and was waived in 2015 when the new regime came in NY. He never really got a shot with the jets.

Jets (Training camp/preseason 2015 was all he got- he was waived at final cuts 2015 and picked up by jags days later)

I could see him making the cut.
Quote:But a lot of people on here were saying Joeckel wasn't bad last year outside of the last game of the season. Where are those people at now?

I think those people were just regurgitating what one of the Jaguars Homer broadcasters was saying about Joeckel. (Was it Boselli or Lageman that kept saying positive things about Joke?)

Good to try and be positive about a player, but I don't remember one flash last season from Joeckel. Blame was put on Beadles, but it's not like Joeckel was winning his one-on-ones either.
I see a battle heating up...

Evans vs Walters vs Benn vs Washington....

Yep.

A couple of teams are likely to land a solid #4 receiver from our cuts.

Maybe 3 honestly.
It's good to have THIS problem at WR than trotting out Jason Hill at #1.

I remember when he had that one game over 100 yards. Some folks thought that he was on the verge on breaking out
