Quote:For diety's sake people, Tyson Alualu was the LEAD <del>TACKLER</del> BLOCKER on those plays.

Was there anyone who thought that was a good idea???????

Well his job was to run to a certain gap and be fat, so yeah, I figured he could handle that. You act like lead blocking is rocket surgery.
Sooooo how is that Fowler guy doing?
Quote:You asked if I were a Maddenist, if I thought players were blips on a screen.

I actually played football which means I know first hand that there is more to it than characters on a video game and yes in real life we run the ball on goal line situations.

Are you really this stupid?

I played football as well and ran track and you still make no sense.  Your argument is you played football.   So you have the inside scoop?   So your saying every team runs it all the time in goal line situations?   Yea okay.  So that means the definition of insanity does not come into play?   It was dumb for the mere fact.  Our o line was getting hammered at the line.  There was no push.  Plus while Toby is a power back.  He just was a straight up one trick pony.

So he couldn't get the td.  Due to lack of running lane and lack of awareness on his part.  My point is this if ya facing a heavy front.  And know your line is beat up.  Your going to try and punch it in 4 back to back times anyway?

I highly doubt that.  At any level the goal is to win.  And if what trying does not work.
I know the simple and common strategy of running the ball at the goal line. I've executed it dozens of times.

This isn't rocket science. You line up and make the play. It's not the coaches fault if you can't win your one on one battles.

I'm pretty sure Bradley was as appalled as anyone when they couldn't get a yard in four tries. I'm sure there's a worse o line out there that's done it. They somehow punch it in on the fourth try, no one's complaining about what a horrible coaching call.
Four runs at the goal line happens all the time. For better or worse.

I'm kind of surprised this isn't accepted as a common football occurrence.

What is this thread about, again?

As delightful as the ol bradley blame game is, can we maybe return to topic?

(I know I was part of the problemSmile
Quote:Take the ball out of your best playmakers hands 4x (Bortles) and give it to your worst playmaker. Makes sense.....Gus coaching 101.

If only Blake could throw a fade pass, we might not be having this discussion.

Oh yeah...

That Fowler guy was said to be "better than advertised" throughout the OTAs.

Yeah, he said Fowler was the 2nd best player at minicamp, which is great news.

But the reason he was 2nd best player at minicamp was because Gipson was the best player at minicamp, which is even greater news.

TBH, I think Gipson has the best chance of any Jag to be an all-pro. I would rank the Jags with the best chances as:

1. Gipson

2. ARob

3. Jackson

4. Linder

5. Julius Thomas

Which is saying something too, because from all accounts, Fowler has been ridiculous.
