I guess they are one of the few teams that can afford to be picky.
My guess is the Bengals may draft him. Their roster has always had lots of disreputable characters in the last 10 years or so, always someone suspended for something. Not like you can make their team image any worse on that front.

Yup. And considering they haven't had "the guy" at RB since who, Benson? It makes sense. I see them taking him in Rd 2.

With how undisciplined and problematic the Bengals have been in the last 10 years, I am surprised that marvin lewis hasn't been let go. I guess when your team was irrelevant for 20 years before Lewis, they are willing to look the other way a bit.

The Pats are not picking at #32. They traded the pick to NO for Brandin Cooks.
Hopefully he doesn't fall to them in RD 3. if he does, i guess we'll see another thread about rumors and the Pats cheating again.
I'm actually ready to do the same. There's zero excuse for what he did. I don't care how far he falls.
It's a tough one for me to guess where he will go.
Can I see some GM taking him in round 2, yeah probably someone would.
Could I also see an owner stepping in and saying "nope, you're not wrecking the image of my team".... yeah I could.
The way I see it is that there are only so many teams that are going to be looking for a running back, especially looking to take one in day 1 or 2. There are other backs sans baggage, or at least less of it, that will probably go first, Fournette, Cook, McCaffrey, Foreman. So that's going to take 4 teams out of the running all together. The teams I see as looking for RB: Jax, Carolina, Philly, Indy, Washington, Tampa, Green Bay, Minnesota, New England, maybe cinci. Eliminate 4-5 of these teams due to other picks and you got 4-5 left and maybe half that would take the chance, so maybe 2 teams.
Yeah someone could take him in the 2nd round but the runway for him to land in this draft is getting pretty narrow and we have seen players tumble for far less. It wouldn't shock me if he is still sitting there at the end of the 3rd or 4th.
Full Disclosure: I want no part of Joe Mixon and I actually hope he goes undrafted.
It's similar to the Tyreek Hill situation. And actually, Hill's offense was significantly worse than Mixon IMO.
Hill was taken in the 5th and is now loved by fans.

The tape makes all the difference, that's why Greg Hardy still got another deal but Ray Rice did not. You're right though, many fans are willing to look past a lot when you are a success. Because of the tape, the Mixon assault has been more high profile.
IMO the league should ban him from entering the league. Ever. He crushed that girls face and walked off with zero concern. I doubt seriously and others have reported it is not his first beat down of a chick. Dude should be incarcerated. Was he incarcerated or punished at all?. Never mind found it.
The D.A.'s office says OU freshman football player Joe Mixon will receive a one year deferred sentence in the plea deal.
That means Mixon will not serve any time in jail.
It also won't go on his record. He will have to serve 100 hours of community service and go to cognitive behavior counseling.
Mixon will have to pay about $1,200 in fines and he is suspended for the rest of the football season.

Him punching the girl isn't his only behavioral red flag either. It's not like he hasn't done anything wrong in years. His last "infraction" was a few months ago.

It's definitely a little virtue signalling but im okay with it. It would put my mind at ease if I knew for sure 100% that we wouldn't be taking him.
Dude hit a girl that attacked him 1st. I personally would never hit a woman but I also have no issue with him retaliating after being assaulted. If this was a man that attacked him this wouldn't even be a issue.
That being said I hope the Jags take him in the 2nd round
