What are your expectations for him? High or low? Average?

I don't expect huge numbers, maybe if all goes well, 6-700 total yards and close to 10 td's, but I've always been a big fan of beast east and expect he will do a lot of dirty work and close out some close games.

I expect him to help us win.

I expect us to convert ALOT more 3rd and shorts, as well as goal-line situations with him.

Nice knowing I won't have to watch Gerhart or Robinson try to punch it in three times in a row anymore.

I expect a good help by him for Yeldon, they both will be more fresh during games and above all I will be much more confident if Yeldon gets injured or needs to rest than I was last year with Robinsons fumbles and drops or Gerhart ineffectivness.

I'm more of a Lava guy myself.

Wasn't he the leading rusher in the AFC last year? I think he will have a much bigger role than playing red zone and 3rd down. Ivory is a big running back, exactly what this offense needs. Great speed to power. I think he might even start later in the season and possibly post season if we make it there.

He was ranked as one of the worst if not the worst RB at converting 3rd and shorts and in goal line situations

My primary impression of Ivory comes from watching him rather closely during his first year with the Jets when I played Fantasy Football. The one word that to me describes his game the most is consistency. The guy can see, and he can juke. Someone said he lacks "wiggle," but actually, "wiggle" is another word that really fits him. But I say "consistency" because it's like down after down, you see him picking up a solid 8 to 10 yards. He's not a breakout guy or a bruiser. He's just finds gaps easily and knows what it takes to get his yards. The year I watched him his ypc was 4.6 giving the Jets are reliable ground attack. Reading this board at times I feel people are sleeping on Ivory who I do feel will basically supplant Yeldon as the starter for a time being. At some point I expect TJ to take over by forcing his way into the spotlight. In the meantime, Ivory is a perfect mentor for TJ who can also teach him to be a better pass blocker with plenty of experience in that department.

When thinking of his power as a big back, kind of picture how Fred Taylor was. "Power" wasn't his primary game, but he had it when he wanted to use it. Ivory is big and has power, but he'll look to avoid contact first. He's not Gerhart.

He's an above average to solid back. He isn't elite by any means. He is good enough to get the job done. That being said, 150-175 carries for 675-750 yards with 6tds.

600 yards, 6 TD

He led the AFC in rushing last season. I say 1000+ yards again.
