When people say "Number x will be good for [insert player name here]" - What is actually meant by that?

Like, how does a number look better on a player than any other number?..

"I wash my hands of him until he changes to the number 15... it matches his eyes better..."
Quote:Sample hasn't done squat yet for this team.Ramsey can potentially do loads.Give up the number.

Ramsey also havent done nothing for this team.. That dont mean nothing!! He dont have to give nothing up thats the point!
Quote:I tend to think it could be as easy as the equipment manager calling Sample in and saying, "Good afternoon.  You've been assigned #38.  Have a nice day."
As Gus stated in a press conference this week, numbers are chosen by the players, and changes/switches occur between the players

Sample wore 36 originally for the Jags:

And took 23 when it became available. Neither of them wore 23 in college though.

As Deion would say..... You look good, you feel good, you feel good, you play good. you play good they pay good. Jalen has already said he believes that 100%
