Man there are a lot of babies on here. The second a big name becomes available we have to sign him and we suck and are cheap if we don't, nevermind the 31 other teams in play. Its not the name, its the big talent. Malik Jackson had one good year, we threw a boat load of money at him.

Malik Jackson is 26 and plays (and dominates) at a position that impacts the game more than a CB.

Malik is younger, not a locker room problem, and is someone who can definitely play in this scheme. I don't think anyone would be upset if we did get Norman it's that there are red flags so it's understandable we don't want to pay him 15 million a year or whatever he ends up getting. It's the same with Malik in regards to there are some red flags since he hasn't been extremely dominant long but Dave felt like he was less of a risk I guess which is fine.

CB was one of our biggest weaknesses. He would instanly become the best DB we have. Huge upgrade over anyone else.

It was that big of a weakness because of the awful pass rush. Some team is going to make Norman the highest paid corner in the league...think about that. Of course he would make us better, but that price is just ridiculous.

Agreed.  Easier to skate by with an average secondary and a good pass rush rather than the opposite.  They still tried to go after him, but can't blame DC for not just giving Norman a blank check and telling him to write down a number.
