Dumb thread is dumb.
The shelf life of as All-Pro DE compared to a Franchise QB is much less, so No

I love me some Blake Bortles and believe he is going to be a great QB. Von Miller on the other hand is a once in a generation player. His combine numbers were freakish and he is even quicker now. He pretty much took over the superbowl. I understand this would leave glaring holes for each team but also fill needs as well.

People love to argue that every team needs a franchise QB but I disagree. Defense wins Championships. Grandpa Manning just won one riding the defense.

Lol
This is what I would trade Bortles for...and I'm being dead serious.

Belicek, Brady, Julio Jones, Von Miller, Watt, Pouncey, Dallas Cowboys OLine, Adrian Peterson, Keuchly, Earl Thomas, Patrick Peterson, and 3 first round picks.
Hey guys, would you trade Bortles for Ryan Leaf?
Nope.

You don't trade a franchise QB for anything. Too hard to get.

Bortles is a franchise QB, and should be for 15+ years. Everything else can be worked around. See the Patriots success for proof.
Wouldn't trade Bortles for any player, even if Lawrence Taylor/Reggie White/Primetime were available.

Is this really a thread?

Von is also one mess up away from a year suspension

Well, see, the problem with that is that they are on different teams.
Bortles is arguably the most untradeable player in the league.
Qb controls a game. A DE does nothing compared. So no.
If we can have their kicker too..... Pull the trigger!

The funny thing is, I'll bet if you flipped the tables and asked Denver fans (who obviously desperately need a QB right now) if they would trade Von Miller for Bortles it would be nearly unanimously hell no.

I don't know if that's true or not. But if true they would be making a unanimously wrong decision.
You know it's slow not when obscenely ridiculous threads like this with just a completely moronic premiss make it past a page, but that usually some what intelligent people feel the need to respond to this dreck, of course I'm responding so just call me kettle, lol

Bortles is looking like a top 5 QB.

Miller is absolutely a top 5 pass rusher.

But my thought process is we can find a pass rusher closer to von miller much easier than finding a QB anywhere near Blake. So the answer is no.

In the team's 20+ season history it has never had a true franchise level QB until Bortles. If you consider Brackens a true franchise level pass rusher (which he might have been) then it's had just one of those. Either way they're both very hard to find, but all of the rules in the game are slanted to the QB, and will continue to be slanted to the QB's favor as time move forward.

It simply makes much more sense to stick with a top shelf QB rather than going to a top shelf pass rusher unless that pass rusher is so good that he's literally gets a sack every time the other team tries to throw a pass, which is a level of player that just doesn't exist.
No.
