It definitely effected Lebron and Chris Paul and them when they stood up for BLM.....

It's only about skill level. If you are really good, teams look over all your off the field troubles. If you're not very good, they find someone with similar skills who aren't a distraction. Pretty simple.
Quote:Just saying if he was good, he could pee on the flag and still start on Sunday.

You give owners way too much credit.
Exactly. It's pretty simple.

That's the whole point. He's good enough to start , but isn't getting the chance due to his protest.

He got benched for Gabbert. He isn't good enough to start for any team. If he was he would be signed
Quote:Meh, his intentions were all good. What he failed to realize is how the NFL would react.

Most normal Americans don't look at his intentions or actions as "good".

Does he want to "protest" or bring to light a manufactured problem?  Fine.  He can do that on his own time.

Intentionally being disrespectful to the flag of our country and what it means for so many?  Especially on game-day on national television?  Then speaking out on a manufactured matter?  That was a pretty stupid move and he's paying the price for it.

So basically it's ok if NFL payers are criminals but by god don't protest a racist song?

Gabbert was also benched for him, Who would you rather start? Then again you also think Brandon Weeden is better than Kaep.....

Ain't saying Kaep is an above average QB or anything. Just that he's clearly good enough to start for 4 or 5 teams and good enough to be a backup for almost all of them bar a few .

Do you know who else doesn't have a job RGIII. Same guys same talent. Actually when it comes to talent RG3 has more

RG3 isn't as good as Kaep and has never played a full season in the league because he breaks down easily. He was great his rookie year but is a shell of himself now.

No.  You crossed a line with this statement.  If you truly believe this you have no clue how most Americans think.

Well maybe I think this way because the flag and anthem mean nothing to me. In my opinion his aim was noble but done in a highly naive manner. I think he was hoping that his message was received equally by everyone, but instead alienated millions by the route he took.

I agree yet disagree.  There are transgressions that supersede ability.  Indy's reference about pee'ing on the flag is an example of one.

It's just a symbol of racism, who really cares?
