I'm still hoping for Jalen Ramsey, but Gibson is good enough that I'm not sweating him being taken before the 5th pick quite as badly.  I'm definitely starting to favor Myles Jack a little more now.  What are ya'lls thoughts?

I didn't realize free agency lasted 4 days.

I would Like Ramsey too but doubt he is going to be there.

I hope Ramsey isn't there. Gives me a reason to not hate myself when we don't draft him by saying "we already got our safety"

I really want Myles Jack or Jalen Ramsey, but we'll probably have to go Joey Bosa. According to Dave we were supposed to add an influx of pass rusher this FA, but we know how that turned out. All we have is a guy coming off a major injury who didn't play one snap in the NFL yet. I don't think Bosa is going to be an ELITE D-lineman in the NFL, he'll probably be a 8 sack a year guy at best. While Jack seems like a Wagner/Keuchly LB and Ramsey an Earl Thomas/Tyran Mathieu type Safety. Two guys you can build a defense around.

The number one need is a defensive playmaker.

 

The only thing that might have changed is where we need that playmaker.  If Gipson can be that guy then FS is no longer a need.

 

Myles Jack is still my guy.

I'm firm on the fact that Vernon Hargreaves is the best corner in this draft. To me, Jalen Ramsey is the best player in this draft, but at the FS position. This would be a mistake to draft Ramsey at corner.

Still want Jack first, Spence in the second. I really hope we can find a way to get Spence.

Id be afraid of whats wrong if spence fell to the second in all honesty.


I get he had his drug problem but i really dont think that alone would drop him to the second, especially with all the drug tests and interviews and what not. If after all that teams still passed all the way around on him and then the top 4 again yikes

I just don't understand the hate. He put up better numbers all the way round at the combine but Bosa's combine was great and Spence's was terrible?


He may fall to us, Randy Gregory fell to the end of the 2nd last year, though his issues were closer to draft time than Spence's.


At the end of the day though, we coached him at the SB, Gus knows what he has, if Spence is a guy we want, they'll go get him.

No, I just think Hargreaves covers better and makes more plays. Hargreaves had more picks this year than Ramsey had in his career. How do you get Gator fan after saying Ramsey is the best player in the draft? I also think Tom Brady is the best player in the league. Doesn't make me a Patriots fan.

He obviously can't improve once he gets to the NFL.

Yea makes sense to draft a corner top 5 who doesn't already possess the skills needed to play corner at the next level.
