If you jump 40inches do you really even need to see him run?[/quote
This, 40 inch vert for a man that size is ridiculous
Quote:I saw he had a 40'' vertical jump today, not too shabby for a LB.
That's great, the video he posted on Instagram the other day definitely showed he was jumping high, as expected as he's a great athlete.
I still hope we draft him at 5.
I'll admit I haven't seen much of Myles Jack or Joey Bosa until I watched a couple of highlight reels the other day. I'm glad I'm not a GM because I couldn't pick between these two! IMO they both pass the eye test but something about Jacks instincts and athleticism screams playmaker. If I had to pick one player in this draft it would probably be Jack.
He don't need to run the 40 with that kind of explosion.

UCLA LB Myles Jack did not run 40 or shuttles today. 40" vertical, 10-4" broad jump. Doing positional drills. To hold own Pro Day April 1.
And that's what you call an explosive athlete.
I don't think there is any doubt that he can be very explosive. What concerns me a little is that he was confident of running at the combine and then he dropped out. Then he was confident of running at the UCLA pro day... and he dropped out of that too.
Probably nothing, but raises a small worry that his recovery may be slower than planned. And that raises the question, "why?"

Probably just an eager young man wanting to show his talents while his doctors remain on the cautious side of things.

Read the post before mine.
I saw something on Twitter saying Jack said he was 80% from his surgery today. Not sure if true, but if it is, that healing info comparing him to Peterson is unlikely. I hope he's more like 95%. I still want to draft him, but this is cause for a little concern.
GO JAGS!!

It's only a meniscus tear, he probably wants time to make sure he can give a 100% effort when he runs. He could stand to lose millions of dollars if he rushes into running.
Well Myles Jack is going to have his own pro day on April 1st.
Special type of athlete at his size that can play both the run and the pass. Thats what this defense needs.

While I was looking forward to him running at his pro day, you also have to look at it more long term. Could he have ran? I'm very sure he could have. Should he risk rushing it though, rather than looking long term? No way.
I think they're being very smart about this. He still has well over a month before the draft. He's holding his own day on April 1st. I'm sure he does the full work load on that day.
He did the drills and the jumps today. Those kind of jumps, especially for a guy coming off an injury, just show you he's all kinds of explosive. I have no doubts that he easily runs a 4.5 flat, all day long.
Quote:He's not being taken in the top 4 picks, just no way. He will be available if we truly want him. I believe it goes
1. Tunsil
2. Ramsey/Wentz
3. Buckner
4. Bosa
Really hope it shakes out like that
I don't even care about the 40. I want to see him do the cone and cod drills.

Pro bowler huh? Sign me up!

Well, yea, duh.
Lol what I don't get is that Myles is not a doctor but everyone is running with his self diagnosis of being "80 percent." Analyst are like "OMG he's only 80 percent too?!?"
He's my pick at 5 though
