With the Cowboys said to be fed up and done with Greg Hardy, and Randy Gregory suspended for first 4 games, I don't see how the Cowboys don't take Bosa now at #4. I mean, I guess they could take somebody else, because it IS Jerry Jones, but still. Also, I've heard lots of people say protecting Phillip Rivers is the biggest priority for the Chargers. Here is my last pre-combine guess:
1. TEN - OT Laremy Tunsil
2. CLE - QB Carson Wentz
3. S.D. – OT Ronnie Stanley
4. DAL – DE Joey Bosa
5. JAC – FS Jalen Ramsey
6. BAL – LB Myles Jack
7. S.F. - QB Jared Goff
8. MIA – DE DeForest Buckner
9. TAM - CB Vernon Hargreaves
10. NYG - DE Shaq Lawson
11. CHI – LB Reggie Ragland
12. N.O. – DT A'Shawn Robinson
13. PHI – OT Taylor Decker
14. OAK - CB Mackensie Alexander
15. L.A. – QB Paxton Lynch
16. DET - WR Laquan Treadwell
17. ATL – LB Darron Lee
18. IND - OT Jack Conklin
19. BUF - DE Jonathan Bullard
20. NYJ – OLB/DE Leonard Floyd
21. WAS – DT Jarran Reed
22. HOU – RB Ezekiel Elliott
23. MIN – LB Darron Lee
24. CIN – DT Andrew Billings
25. PIT – CB Eli Apple
26. SEA - OT/OG Cody Whitehair
27. G.B. - DT Kenny Clark
28. K.C. – DE/DT Chris "The Snake" Jones
29. ARI - OLB Noah Spence
30. CAR – DE Emmanuel Ogbah
31. DEN – DE/DT Robert Nkemdiche
32. DAL – RB Derrick Henry (from CLE)
33. TEN – CB William Jackson III
34. CLE – C Ryan Kelly (from DAL) (lose Center Alex Mack to Jags)
35. S.D. – DE/DT Sheldon Rankins
36. BAL – OT Jason Spriggs
37. S.F. – WR Will Fuller
38. JAC – DE Kevin Dodd
Like picks? Or who would you rather have in this scenario for the Jags?
In that scenario?
Myles Jack and Karl Joseph.
Moved Ragland up to the Bears to be the new "Monster of the Midway". I think he will go higher than a lot of people are projecting him. Rams would probably love to have him since they cut Laurinaitis .
In this scenario the Browns did really well getting rid of the too high salary of a 30 year old overrated C, and replacing him with a great, plug and play pro bowl level C for the foreseeable future.
I wish the Jags could have done that well.
Rock, paper, scissors between Ramsey, Spence, and Jack in this scenario. I think each player is an impact player at his defensive position. Without having anyone in free agency in this scenario, I would prioritize the pass rusher above the others, and take Spence (and gamble on the character flag). With the second round pick, I would shore up the backend of the secondary with Karl Joseph.
With the mock's assumption of Ramsey then Ogbah, I would be OK with it. I, for whatever reason, just don't value Ogbah as high as many others on this board.

Why are people so high on Joseph lately on this board? He is listed as a SS at 5'11 and 197 pounds, and he just had a season-ending knee injury last year....
I'd take Ramsey, who can also play CB, over him all day and twice on NFL Sundays! I'd take Bosa over Ramsey to play left DE, but he is gone here...
Ogbah in the 2nd could probably play three downs at left DE, with Odrick, Alualu and Marks rotating at DT.
If Dallas takes Bosa, I would be happy; because Jack falls right into our spot

. I'm all in on Jack now...... which is sad because I don't want to get my hopes up. But either way, we should be able to land some talent at #5

.
GO JAGS!!

Jags have tons of money to spend, and they will spend a bunch on Mack if he will sign again. Browns sure must value Mack if they matched all that money the Jags threw at him. Kelly may be good in the long run, but right now he is unproven in the NFL. All that said, if we don't get Mack, Kelly would make a nice addition to the O-line at #38.
Myles Jack and Obah would be my preference.
I'm not totally sold on Ramsey.
If Ramsey can develop into a [BLEEP] down corner and dynamic safety he is worth the pick over Jack. I think Jack is a better player right now though. Ramsey's position had more of a premium on it.

Well, Baltimore would love that, cause Ramsey would then fall in their lap.
I wouldn't be mad if we took Jack. Would be a great pick. We will see how Caldwell feels about him. Where would he play though? Take Skuta's spot, or replace Poz in the middle?

I think it would be kind of a mix and match between Smith, Poz, Skuta, and Jack, with Jack stepping in for Poz on 3rd and long, and spelling Skuta at times, and sometimes, there's an injury. Right now, I know who our starting 3 are, but beyond that, who?
The fact is, we need better pass rush, and we need better coverage. Think if it as needing a better front 7 and a better back 7. Why can't Jack rush the passer as well as cover tight ends? Not simultaneously, of course, but he can do both.
The Jags are in a good spot/situation in this year's draft. Needing defense, one of these guys will be there for the taking:
Bosa (although I realize he wouldn't be available in this threads scenario)
Jack
Ramsey
Spence
VH3
Any one of those guys is a good pick for Jax this year. I'd be happy with any of them.

At the time yes it was a no brainer for the Browns to match that contract (and for us to offer it). Mack was 28 years old and the best C in the league. Since then he is 30, broke his leg, and is coming off of an underwhelming season...and will demand yet again the most expensive C contract in history. This Mack is not that Mack, and to expect him to return to that Mack at this point carries a whole lot of downside and not very much upside at 10+ mil/yr.

I have a sneaky suspicion Dave will target the safety position in FA, whether it's Eric Berry or TaShaun Gibson. I just don't see the Jags investing the 5th overall pick into the back end of the defense. It wouldn't surprise me if Myles Jack, Noah Spence (his past complicates things), Bosa, and even Buckner are rated higher on their board given the needs of this team, the Jags more than anything need more disruption and speed in the front 7, give me a disruptive player that plays closer to the LOS any day of the week.

He hits like a SS, but moves like a FS.
He's a Stree Safety....

and he actually has the "ball hawking" skills people speak of about Ramsey

I just can't stress it enough how perfectly he fits into our FS spot. It's so easy to picture him back there on gameday.
I can't see Dallas taking Bosa. They still run the 3-4 right? He doesn't really fit well in a 3-4.. I could definitely see them taking Myles Jack though. They would be wise to avoid Noah Spence, but hey, it's the Cowboys, and he's the best pass rusher in the draft...
