Something tells me that he said that tongue in cheek. I think he is smart enough to know that guys who have done the job their whole lives and make millions doing so are the ones calling the shots.

 

He is certainly not dumb enough to say something as idiotic as that a message board GM would do a better job than a real one.

As if my GM comment wasn't tongue-in-cheek. Besides, I compared him to Jean Smiff, not a "real GM."

   It's probably more to do with the nature of the QB position than anything.

 

   Most of the time backup players on a team don't get much attention,  relatively speaking.   For every Guy Whimper,  there's 500 Backup Offensive Lineman that will never be the focal point of a thread except when they sign a contract or are released.

Are you kidding me?  This thread is free entertainment (for logical thinking people).  There are far too many people that think that they know better how to run a business than a self-made billionaire.

 

I suspect that many of the "nay sayers" are part of Alfie's BCC crew.
