Floyd has special pass rush upside. All depends how he develops/how we use him if he's the pick. His ceiling is definitely higher than Irvin as a pass rusher, which is why we're drafting him.

If Jack isn't an option I can warm up to the idea. He looked good on the edge

Damn...yeah if we trade down I doubt we go below 7 or 8. May end up going with him at 5 if they're that high on him...they'd probably move up.

I still think they want Ramsey and Floyd is a backup plan. We were all but sure to be drafting Manziel in this same setting 2 years ago. If the boys draft Ramsey, maybe we trade back or maybe we just draft the guy.

I will probably be pretty upset if bosa, Jack, or Ramsey is there and we pick Floyd. Just saying.

Jamie Collins is a nice comparison for Floyd.

I just love how we think we really know how these players will pan out.  I just went over to bigcatcountry and read an article about how Floyd would be a terrible choice at 5, but a great choice in a trade down at 15.  Nobody knows how these guys are going to pan out.   If you think a guy is going to be great at 15 and you pick at 5 and don't want to risk losing out on him, you pick him at 5.  I have learned to just put my faith in Dave, Gus, and the rest of the staff because they know what's best for the team much more than the rest of us.  However I am very excited for the draft tomorrow night, maybe I'm just getting burnt out on all of the coverage, i.e. mocks, rumors, etc.

I would absolutely take Jamie Collins at 5 if that's what Floyd turns into. 

Too bad Floyd plays nothing like Jamie Collins.

Pretty much everyone is comparing him to LB like Jamie Collins and Manny Lawson. Mike Kaye, Pete Prisco, etc. etc. I totally see it. Lawson has excelled since being deployed as a LB. If we put him purely at LEO he'd likely fail, but at OTTO and coming in at LEO on 3rd downs would be ideal.
