And boom.
I mean it certainty would reassure your original thought, but GMs lie all the time before a draft & they aren't drafting #1 overall so lets say if it was Ramsey (Which I am sure it most likely isn't & is Wentz, but for arguments sake) they might fear the Rams would draft Jalen if they made a strong case for him...

just saying until the draft day we can only make educated guesses that being said I too think Goff & Wentz go 1 & 2.

Goff and Wentz are going 1 and 2 in some order for 100% sure. Teams aren't giving up that many draft picks for anything but a QB.
What do you think about the talk of the Jaguars trading down for Leonard Floyd?

If we traded down to the teens I would be okay with taking him but I would want a second rounder and a third. I'd rather just take one of the top players at 5 though.

Floyd is one of the ones that I looked at early on in trying to sort out who's behind Bosa/Ramsey. He quickly went down my choices as far as the #5 pick, because he is just so suspect against the run. But man, can he rush the passer. As for taking him in the mid 1st? I wouldn't have a problem with it, but it'd have to be a really enticing offer for me to want to trade down.

I was thinking that their is a possibility that Miami would want to move up for Elliott and we could be a prime trade partner before Zeke gets to Baltimore. If that were the case, then Floyd would be a good option at 13. Don't know if Miami would trade back up though.
He's to skinny. The next Barkeveious Mingo. Bust.
Aldon Smith (minus the off the field stuff lol) says otherwise............ He could put on 10+ lbs in the NFL.

GO JAGS!!

People are way too scarred from Mingo and Jordan...

This guy has some risk but he's a talent. He has ridiculous speed and very skilled rushing the passer. I think in this defense, he'd be a very good OTTO that could shift to LEO on 3rd downs and be a versatile pass rusher for us. At 5 it's probably a bit high, but if we could move down a few picks and nab him or Lawson I'd be pretty happy. If we go past 10/11 he's likely off the board to NYG/CHI etc.

Go check out Julian Peterson, he was very similar coming out of college and I'd say he had a pretty successful career....lol

Nah man, did you see the video clip above, he's got no power to shed off blockers on run plays.  He's weak.

He was playing inside linebacker...that isn't where he'll play in the NFL. That's not his game.

He is very solid in coverage and has ridiculous speed off the edge. He'd be a great fit in this scheme. Him being 230-235 in a scheme like this at OTTO/LEO would be just fine, and we need help in the coverage department from our LB's.

230-35 is way too light for a 6'6 guy to play OTTO/LEO. Needs to be around 250.

Apparently he weighs 250 now. I don't know if he can hold that weight but he should be able to at 6 foot 6.

Yeah man, he looked like a big wide receiver in that video clip and he was getting pushed around like a rag doll.  And that was against sucky Vanderbilt.

He needs to get bigger yes, but he does two things that we lack desperately, good in coverage and getting after the passer. He weighed in at 244 at the combine, which is right where Irvin was. If we can get him up to around 240+, I'd be perfectly fine with him. Floyd has ridiculous athleticism and speed, which is also what this defense lacks.
Not sure if I like that much Floyd or not, but at the combine he weighted 244 (apparently he played at 230-231 in college) and was still very fast and explosive. If he can play at that weight and something more could definitely be better for him at the next level.

Per Rotoworld it looks like Floyd is in consideration at #6:

Quote:ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports the Ravens are "focused on Ohio State's Joey Bosa and other pass-rushers" at No. 6 overall.

Per Hensley, Clemson's Shaq Lawson and Georgia's Leonard Floyd are other options. The Ravens' pass rush has gotten long in the tooth, and Bosa is arguably the draft's top edge threat. He would be making the transition from 4-3 end to 3-4 linebacker in the Ravens' scheme. GM Ozzie Newsome rarely drafts in the top 20, but has generally hit home runs when he does.
