Quote:Why not draft a fullback? Clay Harbor has been serviceable as a tight end.

Do you actually follow this team? This has been talked about a lot over the past two years.  Bradley and Olson have talked about not wasting a roster spot on a FB because they don't use it often - and other players on the roster can fill the role without taking up an additional roster spot.

Harbor is a candidate to play "spot duty" there while primarily being a tight end.
So nobody wanna let the slow ancestor of the Jags past Poz go huh? Stop the madness. Don't see how people wanna move on from Lewis but keep that guy. They both are anchors to this team at this point. Damn all that leadership and director crap, we've been trash since he's been here. Time to get a real youthful smart impact player in that position and move the hell on.

Lewis has his replacement on the roster already. We haven't found a replacement for Poz yet.
I guess I'm going to die a pretty lonely man on the "Wiz is a perfectly fine C to keep around long term" hill. He is undoubtedly one of the best pass blocking centers in the league (even PFF agrees as he was top 6 in PBE and pressures/sacks allowed last I saw...although the Texans onslaught might have unfairly skewed things). His run blocking is only average, but I am ok with that trade off as it's still not a major liability...and who knows another year removed from his shoulder surgery might return even more of the driving power. Also, the bad snaps should be a non issue to anyone with any perspective.

I'm not saying he isn't upgradeable, but you shouldn't let a top 1/3 of the league center walk away just because. There isn't an FA clearly better than him (yes I'm including Mack) so it would have to be a C in the draft that Dave just loves...or an OG that would push Cann to C and Dave thinks Cann will excel there.

Since you're a fan of PFF:

Quote:Kelechi Osemele, LG, Ravens (89.0)

The long-time Raven is entering the prime of his career—and playing as well as ever after a slow start to 2015. Osemele has already proved to be one of the best run blockers in the entire league, with his ability to win at the point of attack setting him apart from other NFL guards.

Quote:No, no no no.   The time of year to cut players is when you HAVE to: when it's training camp and you have no more roster spots left.   The time to cut players is when you have a BETTER PLAYER and no roster spot for him.

The idea of cutting players right now is really stupid.  It accomplishes nothing.

Agreed unless you need the cap space or a player is getting a roster bonus on a certain date that you don't want to pay.

Rhetorical question I know, but the answer is dude was busy watching the Broncos and Packers.
