Lee is one of my favorite players and I believe he'll be a steal for someone if he makes it to the 2nd round. However, where would the Jaguars play him since he looks like another Telvin Smith?

Quote:I've kinda just started watching tape on draftbreakdown, but I have some worries about both Ramsey and Hargreaves.

I've only watched one game tape of Ramsey, and it was against Miami, and it seems like he was exploited when matched up with a fast WR. Again, this is just my opinion from one game, so I could be wrong.

For VH3, coming from a gator fan, he is purely a cover corner. Obviously no one expected him to be really physical, but he definitely avoids hits as much as he can.

2 cents.

Nice.

Ramsey's tape is not all that impressive to me. I keep watching and keep saying to myself "where are the plays?" Of course, like any player, he will break up a pass or tackle someone, but drafting him at #5 overall? I'm not sure yet..
Quote:Since everyone is now on the Ramsey and Jack bandwagon I will go with Darron Lee hopefully in the 2nd and Paul Perkins or Jonathan Williams hopefully sometime day 3.

Believe it or not I did not know anything about Jalen Ramsey. All last year I wanted Vernon Hargreaves if Joey Bosa is off the board because they are players I watched many times. When people started talking about Ramsey here I thought, "Who is this guy?" That happens every year because I don't follow college football outside of Ohio State and Florida. So no, wanting him now does not mean I am on the Ramsey bandwagon. I just want the best FS prospect in the draft.

I guess he could be Telvin Smith's backup for a year and move to the opposite side if his skills match. But with a new DC coming to Jacksonville, I don't want to base player evaluations on how they fit into our scheme.

There are only three guys on that list, so mathematically we can still get one. But of course I would prefer to get a DE in the first or second round.
No one has a legitimate argument as to VH3 being better than Alexander

NONE

I agree I dont like Ramsey at CB at all unless he is in the nickle, he will be a much better FS

VH3 I think he does try to get in there and make tackles but most CBs are not gonna be very physical tacklers

I do

Both are great cover CBs

Alexander may have a little better cover skills

What Hargreaves has over Alexander is, VH3 is taller and bigger, has better ball skills and is a better playmaker, VH3 also brings PR and KR skills

Both are great players, no reason to act like one is way better then the other

Alexander is a better cover guy nuff said. All the other stuff about better ball skills (lol) and being a better playmaker (lol) is fluff. No one throws at Alexander....he shuts down one side of the field. VH3 got worked several times this year, most recently the UofM game.

I don't need my stud corner being a KR or PR unless he just so happens to be super dynamic at it(like a Deion Sanders), or if I have no one else at all. VH3 isn't that.

I thought they were pretty identical size wise. Both 5'11 200lbs.
VH3 wasn't even the best return guy on his team

come on now

VH3 gets worked several times a year, thats not true at all? The Mich game is prob the only game this year he got worked and it was a meaningless bowl game after he was on his way out. Better ball skills and being a excellent playmaker is fluff? So Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu both who are examples of players with those skills carrying over to the NFL shows its not fluff, oh yea and they both of those players were kick returners in college.

You asked for a reason and you gave a weak response

Alexander is 5'10 180 and that is the biggest knock he gets from most scouts is his small frame

VH3 is 5'11 200

Where did I say he was the best return man on his team? I said he brings return skills, he was the guy they put back there when they needed a for sure catch to field a punt, he has great hands having that is a plus
