My sources say this is a done deal.
Syracuse and BC wanted Latavius to play LB and ONLY UCF gave him that chance at RB just like ONLY UCF gave Blake a chance at QB when other schools wanted him as a TE.
Latavius has big ties with Doug Marrone and of course Marrone and GOL have ties.
He chose UCF -- because Syracuse, like many other programs that recruited Latavius -- wanted him to play linebacker. SU coaches at the time did not envision him at 6-foot-3 as a viable college football running back, but liked his athleticism enough to offer him a scholarship. After Latavius tore his ACL in 2009, he asked for his release from UCF to come home to play for Syracuse. But SU coaches did not offer him a scholarship then and he returned to UCF. (Doug Marrone was SU's head coach then; he and UCF coach George O'Leary had long been friends and colleagues.)
Latavius initially chose a program that guaranteed he would run the ball. He wanted to be a college running back. I know all of this because my friend wrote a multi-part series about Latavius and his high school recruitment at the time.
In high school, Murray was All-league and All-Central New York selection in three straight seasons. In his sophomore year, he was third-team All-state honoree following a 1,609-yard, 14-touchdown season. He garnered first-team All-state honors as a junior, rushing for 2,030 yards and 30 touchdowns. In his final year, he was named the 2007 Gatorade Football Player of the Year in the state of New York after rushing for 2,194 yards with 28 touchdowns on offense, while also recording 78 tackles, three forced fumbles and two interceptions on defense. He also was named as the Class D Player of the Year and First-Team All-State by the NYSSWA.
There are a lot of people on this board like YoBoy and GlockBortles among others that have ZERO sources. They can mock all they want. They are wrong about judging talent.
You pulled all this information from articles on the internet, and you pulled the stats from high school directly from Wikipedia.
By the way, all this information was pulled from Syracuse.com, his hometown newspaper. I am literally reading the articles right now.
I wouldn't be opposed to a modest 2-3 year deal. I'm a little concerned about the 4 ypc average over his career, but he scored 12 TDs a year ago, how many of those were of the 1-2 yard plunge varieties, which dragged his average down? There's an article on football perspective (I can't paste the link for some reason) that provides an interesting take on YPC. At 6'3 and 230lbs he's a battering ram of a back.

FYI, I know from sources among Tay's family from Titusville. To be specific, it was this game....

Appreciate the input though bub!
So you pulled all that information, that just so happened to be word for word from Wikipedia and other websites from him that night?
You should be banned from the board for trolling and acting like you know anything about the Jags.

Pulling stats from wikipedia means nothing. You know nothing. Marrone and Tay have been just as tight as Marrone and George O'Leary have been.
Tay was born in Titusville. All of his family lives there. Saw him and talked to him at the Poinciana/Titusville playoff game. The deal has been done for a week.
You want me banned from the board from giving you inside info? Clueless fool. There may be a select few on here who appreciate the inside info.

I don't think his comment about sources is related to the "info" about Murray's past. When I first read it, I got the impression that he included the "info" part as just a historical background for those who may not have been in the know.

I was trying to educate people on the Marrone-Latavius-George O'Leary connection. On how most schools wanted Tay to play LBer and only GOL allowed him to play RB.
That info is common knowledge and has nothing to do with me talking to him at the Titusville basketball game. People on these boards are so touchy it's hilarious.

If the deals been done for a week then how come Murray visited the Seahawks 3 days ago.
Thanks for the insider knowledge spacecoastjag..don't ever change!
Quote:The deal has been done for a week.
Isn't that when he was visiting other teams?
Someone already posted my point about the deal being done for a week. He could have easily written the link between O'Leary/Marrone/Murray without copying and pasting if he really wanted to.
SCJ is the biggest blow hard on the board. Likes to act like he's in the know, but really knows nothing.
If Marrone saw him as a linebacker and at 6'3, too big to play running back, why would anything change now? Murray has regressed in yardage year over year.

Backup plans incase $ falls through. Tay has always wanted to be a Jag. It's been 99% done since last Thursday.

You're clueless as usual. Let's just say my friend has the same source on the UCF board.......
https://ucf.forums.rivals.com/threads/la...eal.49418/ . He actually spoke to tay saturday night at a club in downtown Orlando.

But the deals done. Why would he bother visiting other teams?
It was 100% done...now its 99% done...

He's visiting us today to work out the financials. Everything else is done. Don't care what you think; wake me up when you know his cousin Hawkins.
Seattle is trying to move onto Charles/AP because they don't want Lacy and they know Latavius wants to be a Jag.

Stephen? Know him well
It was a week and now we're down to 4 days. SCJ is scrambling!
You know his family, but now your friend talked to him in downtown Orlando.
It's easy to say the Jags will sign him after being turned away by a few teams. You have a 50/50 shot being right. Anyone could have said that and acted like they were in the know.
Hey, I went to UCF...I could have said the same thing and acted like I had some sort of contacts at UCF feeding me all the information.

Do you have access to the Dungeon boards or are you a fake Knight? FYI- it was Tier Night Club
