Quote:Not even the allegation, everything else that he has done and the everything that he is paints a very clear picture. This guy is trouble. Whether it's the issues with the animal abuse or criminal mischief, or that he has this huge entourage of total thugs. He's an obvious scumbag thug, I will not retract that statement.

Do you see Winston in the same light? Dude is young, when you young you do dumb things.. But that don't mean that's who you are and who you always will be ..There is a long go list of players that made poor decisions in college and or after

. And they learn from those mistake... I'm sure Cook will.

Long list of those who didn't too. I just don't think you take a chance on a player with such character issues. Winston stole some crab legs and and had an allegation, it's not great but Cook has different red flags and there are plenty of other similar players at his position without his issues. He might learn from his mistakes, he might not.

As a juvenile, Cook was arrested and charged with robbery in 2009, according to files obtained through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Prosecutors opted to drop the case. Cook was also arrested and charged with firing a weapon and possessing a weapon at an event on school property in 2010, according to FDLE records. The third-degree felony charge was dropped or abandoned.

Cook previously was charged with criminal mischief in Tallahassee following an incident in June 2014. He was one of several players involved in an alleged bb-gun shooting that caused property damage that exceeded $200 and was less than $1,000. Cook was charged with criminal mischief and given pre-trial intervention in December, which he completed last month, according to Fox Sports.

Do you really want to spend the #4 overall pick on a player who has ball security issues but from what we know is and has been involved with guns/weapons, nightclubs, women making allegations against him, animal abuse charges, criminal mischief charges, and an entourage of gangsters that give every scout pause. That's just crazy! Where there is smoke, there is fire. A runningback is not worth that kind of risk.

So I talked about this in previous discussions, but Dave Caldwell is a needs drafter, but so is Tom Coughlin. He might actually even be more of a needs drafter than DC. So with all the signings that we've made so far:

SS - Church - Adams

LE - Campbell - Thomas/Allen

G - No one worthy of top 4 pick

CB - Bouye - Lattimore

LT - Albert - no one worthy of that pick anyway

Now, Hooker is also a possibility, although Gipson is still here and in just his 2nd year. With the team likely moving to two-deep safety look, I don't think this is as big a need.

This leaves most of our direst needs in offense: QB, RB, TE.

QB is an option, though I'm not sure the VP, GM, and HC are going to pull the trigger on a QB at 4.

RB? I think the rumor mill has driven the Fournette hype, and there's some merit to it too. But the talk of Latavius Murray coming in for a visit on Monday, and if he signs, makes pulling the trigger for a RB at 4 less likely.

Which leaves us to one need...one we opened up in order to acquire the LT of TC's choice, in fact.

TE.

As much as I think it is ridiculous to spend a #4 pick on a TE, if we are looking at TC and DC as huge needs drafters, I'm not sure there's any other position in this draft where talent and need fits as well as it does for TE and OJ Howard.

I still think the pick is Fournette. I know I sound like a broken record but neither of our backs ran for more than 500 yards.
Howard does make sense in a slightly tweaked offense. I would be surprised if he made it out of the top 10. Better prospect than Ebron was.
Fournette or trade back is my guess.

All that stuff is over 3 years old.. Show me something recent to suggest he is a scumbag!

By that logic Mixon isn't a scumbag anymore either, so we should just take him since he is better than Cook and doesn't have the injury concerns.

I thought Mixon hit his chick last year

?? If u ever had a hoodrat, then some of them females hit harder then u.. A man reserves the right to defend himself at all times..

And if u gonna bring up stuff when he 16 or 17 and tell me this is who is and who he always will be .. I'll tell you you are wrong everytime.. People grow up and see what's valuable to them in life.. And I'm sure once he gets them millions he will know if he don't already.

Nope, 2014.
Lol at defend himself. It was excessive. He wasn't trapped in a corner getting his butt kicked, at any point he could have just walked away.

I don't think he should be punished his whole life for what he did, but I definitely agree he wasn't defending himself.

I don't think he should either and if it's an isolated incident and he's moved passed that, then I'm fine drafting him. Just really no excuse for reacting that way.

Oh boy, here comes the feminist claptrap again.

Right...Suggesting he walk out the door when he has every opportunity to do so = feminist claptrap. I don't care that it's a woman or a man or whatever.
I think Thomas/Allen still very much on the table, considering Cambell's age as well as TCs love for the DL. I tend to lean toward Thomas, especially if we sign Poe.

I think one of these three are pretty much a lock to happen:

1. Fournette

2. Thomas/Allen

3. Trade back and target OL/TE

I'm really hoping for 3, but we have to have a willing partner. Interesting as always, I love the draft.

I still say it's gonna be Fournette or a trade down (which is my preference.) As for Solomon Thomas, I don't even think he'll be an option. I have him going to the Niners with the 2nd pick. They are switching to a 4-3 scheme and they lack edge pass rushers in the worst way. They have a couple good 3-4 DE/4-3 DT types, but no true edge pass rushers and I see Thomas as their best option.

Not even, he followed her into that business. He could have done a million different things, but he followed her in and kept it going and it lead to a very poor choice. If we draft him, the front office must feel confident that he has learned his lesson.

It will be a P.R. nightmare though. Having it on video makes a world of difference. Everyone has seen it and it's burned in their brains. That's gonna be hard to sell to a certain part of any fanbase, especially female fans.
