Quote:Hahaha a new head coach might disrupt what? Losing? Lol don't be scared of firing a trash coach. He's holding this team back.

^This...I truly believe that this team is winning more in spite of him than because of him.  The talent is what's winning.  And with a good HC, more wins could have been squeezed out of this same roster.

That so many people don't get it is sad. The Jaguars have the most talent on the field in the division this year, yet they're consistently losing games against teams that are struggling. Part of it was going into the season with a kicker that doesn't belong on an NFL roster, and part of it is that simple Gus doesn't game plan and prepare his players sufficiently.
Gus is terrible and we will not go places unless he's fired and anyone who thinks otherwise is wearing a thick pair of teal sunglasses.

That talent has also been developed well. Look at ARob and Hurns and how their catching everything. That's sheer effort, and that's a reflection of what they've become under Gus Bradley.

It's what they've become under a holdover WR's coach from the Mike Mularky era. Gus's greatest achievement so far is firing Fisch (only took him two seasons to realize he needed to go) and hiring Olsen.

I strongly agree with this. Asking a third year QB to adjust to a third new offensive scheme would hurt the team more than any benefit a new coach might bring.

In fairness, I can't guarantee that Bradley is not the reason for their development.  However, they also have a top-notch WR coach, they are true pros in their approach to the game, and they obviously have talent and potential.

I don't understand this argument...

If you know the ceiling of your team under the current HC is lower than it would be under a better HC why would you stick with what you have?
Whoever they hire next as HC better not be learning while on the job i.e. inexperienced!!!
Quote:Really?? This is the first time in years the media has paid any kind of attention other than "when's the move?",or "when's the draft?". 6-10 and Ill be onboard for 1 more.

How about 5-11? Still on board for one more?

Remember that their WR has already made it clear that he's retiring after this season so they'll pretty much need Bradley to maintain any continuity among the coaches. Also, credit the WR for developing their skill, but credit Bradley for developing their effort.

The offense is, for the most part, fixed. Olson has done a terrific job. I wouldn't mind seeing him getting the HC job next year, for continuity's sake. Otherwise, replace Babich.

Lol, we won't be hiring anyone, Gus is staying.

Well at least that means we will have a HC with 3 full years of head Coaching experience and won't be a rookie HC....................right?

Exactly. That's why it frustrates me

Lol, doubt it.
Gus isn't going anywhere but he better replace Babich or he'll be gone after next year.

Gus will get a few more shots to fire coordinators like Del Rio did. It will take them a couple more years to realize the root of the issue unfortunately.
Gus should push all his chips in and call the defense himself. Let's see what he's really got.
Quote:And is that bad? The current system is producing 5 wins; is that the heights we wish to aspire to? Anew system may bring this team to the next level

That's what was said about firing Del Rio and hiring Mularkey. Hmm...
