The Colts might have been better this season without Luck than with him, sure, but there's not really enough evidence to prove the cruddy Luck is the new normal. There's a couple Denver quarters that suggest it might not be.
But Luck was always a little overrated due to the Colts tanking the year before drafting him (a 6 or 7 win squad clocking in at half that), combined with Arians, combined with the motivation of having their coach fighting for his life. Add in getting Hilton, Fleener and Allen in that same draft - all of which I rated as first round talent - and it's not hard to see that the whole "Luck is carrying the Colts" theme was never really true. At least, not any more than any above average QB carries his team.
