Quote:I have no problem with somehow shading the field or at least the stands. I think it's a positive idea and if they can incorporate making it louder on the field at the same time then even better.

Nice post. Very nice post.

'Shading' the stadium is a good idea. I think by doing this it would add a little sound to it.
Quote:You were stuck like Chuck? Well wouldn't "at least were not moving to LA!!!" the killer?

At that point it wasn't about who could get the last word in. I looked around and realized how empty and boring the place actually was.

I could hear my cell phone 'ding' when a text message came through.

Heck I wouldn't mind if they piped in a little crowd noise.
Give the fans a reason to be loud and they'll be loud.
It would be great if the team could at least be relaly good at one thing, like the best in the league against the run, or against the pass or having a shutout defense, or being the best at the run or pass, or STs...

it seems under GM Dave Caldwell & HC Gus Bradley for the last three years the team is below average at everything (around 20 to 30 ranked)...

I mean as a team they werent bad in sacks last year but by the end of the season they werent in the top 3 or even top 5 i dont think...

I would like for them to be number 1 in something and god please dont say punting...

I hate your sarcastic humour only because I laughed.

Our stadium....
I had season tickets in the 2006/2007 playoff season.  The Bank can get very very loud.  The problem is the fans no longer have faith in the team.  Can't blame them either.  We've sucked for a very long time.

Even with this offense and the excitement we are beginning to bring, we're still losing games.  Nobody wants to waste a day watching a loser.

If we ever start winning consistently, The Bank will be loud as all get out.  I have no doubt in my mind that our fans and this stadium can be one of the loudest in the league.  We just need to get things moving in the right direction.

Lock down the bank!

I would go watch no matter what.

We need a way to make the stadium louder while the bandwagon fans sit home and watch it on their 60" tv
Also, we were right in the thick of the playoff race prior to today's game.

So that is no excuse.

You're one of the die-hards.  But I don't see how we get the stadium to the 2007 level untill we start proving we can win games...  The fanbase as a whole is in a malaise right now...

In the playoff race with only 4 wins?  Most non-hardcore fans probably laugh at that.  You're not gonna get folks excited untill our wins out-number our losses...  That's just the sad truth right now.  I mean, it's evident in the stadium today.

I never talk about this stuff, but man...  There were so many empty seats, I thought maybe the zombie apocalypse hit Jacksonville.
I don't live in Jax so I don't pretend to the know or understand the climate of the city but IMO it's pretty simple. Fans don't like to cheer for terrible teams, and this team has been terrible for almost a decade now. If the team wins more games the fans will show up. Even being on the other side of the country I get a sense that Jax fans are waiting in the shadows just waiting for a winning team to support but after almost a decade of awful seasons, the team has to win to draw the fans out of the shadows.

Some hardcore fans will call these fans "bandwagon fans" but they are needed nonetheless to feel the stadium and nobody will care if the team wins and the stadium is packed and rocking on Sundays.

I want to go to a game at the bank someday.
The crowd was pathetic once again...
Things I missed at Sunday's game.....

The "WE ARE"....."JAGUARS"....chant at the beginning and during the game. I saw the people with the signs on the field before the game started, but they never started and left. Never saw the signs again. This used to be a Jackson DeVille led thing.

The "Move 'Dem Chains" has been getting weaker and less co-ordinated as the season has worn on this year. Used to be setup/started by the announcer.....now it just sort of starts and dies away by the 4th quarter the "wwhhhhoooo" at the end is inaudible.

Things got loud when chargers went for it on 4th down...and a few other times....but on the whole....I've heard it alot louder.

It is on the fans.....but, they're getting tired of hearing "We need to execute"...."We need to fix some things"

Freddy T said it best on the post-game....along the lines of....

What's with this coordinator....you have the worst run defense in the league and you're not running.

This.

How about just get better so people go? Putting a roof over a stadium isn't going to change losing.

On a beautiful holiday weekend with a 4-6 and 2-7 team that had lost six straight.... Until playing our sorry [BLEEP]. You're surprised?
Yea, it looked pretty empty on tv yesterday.

Fixed that for you.   I'm tired of reading these threads every week (especially from people who just watched on TV).   The crowd shows up in amazing numbers considering the putrid product on the field.
