Quote:I didnt say he needed to be cut, but we need a Freddy T or MJD. Yeldon is not what those guys were. Hes solid. I know our oline sucks, but do you think thag would stop FT or MJD? Hell no
Quite frankly, I doubt there would be much difference with either Fred or Maurice back there all things considered
Quote:I'll just run out back to the all-pro RB tree and pick a Fred Taylor or MJD to replace Yeldon with. Shouldn't be hard.

Why so sensitive? I know help isnt on the way. I was saying we need to draft one. How about that dude from LSU?

I disagree, MJD willed himself to success and multiple hundred yard games regardless of how crappy the team he played on.

MoJo usually had a crease to make a play in.  I don't see Yeldon getting that same crease.  I am not saying that he is the next coming believe me, but I am impressed at how well he doing with what he is being given.  Also consider this, both Fred and Maurice had a seasoned vet that they were backing up their first year..  Yeldon is being asked to carry the load in his rookie season.
Quote:Don't feed the troll. That guy thinks a 60" TV is the biggest they make.
They make bigger TVs than that?
You want fans in the seats and it be loud then when they show up and fill the stadium.....WIN. I watch at home b/c I'm in NC and when the stadium is full it sounds loud. I did notice that there was empty seats just this past weekend and that was probably do to fans knowing what was coming. The other bad thing is that when we do pack in we give up big plays and the fans leave a little into the 3rd Q. We can't stick around to watch anymore. The whole time raising cain on the way home. The only thing that Khan can do is play crowd noise over the speakers. Mainly just WWWWWIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The stadium is too wide open. Im gonna do some research and find out how close the seats can be to the field.

We might have the most wide open stadium in the NFL, which sucks for the 12th man effect.
LOL @ the guy that says we need a RB in the draft. Wd need Wiz to be cut and get Linder back. That way Beadles can go 2nd string bc Cann has been a beast.

Putting that back wall in the NEZ and the new scoreboards helped.  The stadium can be loud but when the Jags aren't competitive it generally quiets down.  Then there are folks who go to UF games and expect it to be like that so some of it is relative.
Quote:It is weird. There seems to be a lot of passion for this team in the city, but the stadium doesn't reflect that.

I keep hearing about generation Jaguar. Where are they?
Partying in the bud light party zone
I have to reiterate the fact that the way the stadium is configured now in comparison to prior to the renovations that closed in both end zones and added the new video boards, the stadium would get relatively loud, but not as bad as in venues where the seats are closer to the field.  I think they've done a good job of addressing that with the renovations.  The problem on Sunday wasn't the way the stadium is built.  The problem is that on a day when the weather was absolutely perfect, many people who SHOULD be at the games are finding other things to do with their time.  There were huge patches of empty seats that, had they been filled, the decibel level from the crowd would have been significantly higher.

This has been a problem for this team for more than a decade.  Late November/December games almost always see a dip in attendance for a variety of reasons.  In this instance, it was Thanksgiving weekend, and a good portion of the population hits the road to be with family for the holiday, and Sunday would have been a travel day for many of these people.  We'll more than likely see a similar situation for the Falcons game as that is the weekend prior to Christmas, and many people are either traveling or tied up with other holiday observances.

I don't think the configuration of the stadium indicates anything about fan passion.  When the stadium is full, the noise levels are perfectly fine.

Between the 20's is where the quiet ones sit. So you wind up with all the noise coming from the ends of the bowl. Upper decks are pretty good ways up there too so getting loud up there is kind of hard.

If there were some "live" microphones left switched on that would help .LOL... :woot:

But like someone said earlier in the thread. the Browns game was crazy loud. I bet ALOT of folks went home hoarse.

I've been to other games at the Bank where it was plenty loud but the crowd's enthusiasm has changed since those days..

We have the clots coming up......that game is usually close and ALWAYS loud. Com'on, buy some tickets and come out and scream your butt off! Banana

Just a big combination of things I guess, not the least of which is .....we need some competitive football out of these guys.

Quote:Yeldon started out strong yesterday, but his stats did not wow at all. Had less than 50 yards rushing. We need 2 things desperately in the draft. An elite DE and RB.
You realize he had 9 carries

mostly unemployed, some underpaid
Man, if we make a few changes, next year the stadium will be rockin'.  Just a few things here and there, nothing even too drastic, and this team has more wins than losses next year around this time and we're fighting for a division title.

Once that happens, then fans come back and the atmosphere will be amazing.  This really is a darkest before dawn kinda thing, metaphorically speaking.

Hope seems at it's bleakest, but it's like 5:30 AM and the sun is about to push over the Atlantic Ocean.  Just gotta have faith for a little bit longer...

Bradleys fault.
One problem is the watch at home fans don't see all the folks in the amenities at the stadium. Look at the North and South Endzone and there are tons of people in the BudZone and on the platform where they have an indoor fantasy area.  NEZ has the cabanas and FanDuelville areas that are all crowded.    Those of us in the club seats go inside to eat lunch and can watch the game comfortably and meaner out to our seats in the middle of the 3rd Qtr...  All I can say is the fans who are there can make a lot of noise esp near the end zones when needed... And yes... those of us in club seats do scream and holler...

The other writers are correct that to really fill up the place, you need bandwagon fans to come out and that won't happen till the team is good...  It's the nature of the beast when you have a team that doesn't sell out its season tickets...  Need to make the ticket a valuable item.  Right now people who are not fully committed can just buy when they feel like it..

Next for instance, I suspect you'll see a different look in the club seats as they eliminate nearly 30% of them and build a new viewing area..

Quote:No, it isn't very loud in there. Also, it looked pretty empty on TV today as well.

It won't get loud with fans on the couch

The holidays isn't an excuse. The Thanksgiving Day games looked full, even the sorry piss Lions. If a ticket holder is going away, give tix to someone.

But, with that loss Sunday, it won't matter what time of year it is.... Tix will be a tougher sell. If they don't show up for possible playoff implications, I don't expect them to when they still have a losing record.

Then there's the socialites that just go to hang in the bud zone to show off their latest leopard print tights. clueless as to what's happening on the field.

The Lions have a long standing tradition of playing on Thanksgiving day.  Apple to oranges
