Bortles age 23 INT rate is now at 3.1%
Favre for his CAREER was at 3.3%.
A lot of Jags fans don't understand
1) Being 23, some people don't know how good Blake will be.
2) Some fans don't understand basic statistics.......if you throw the ball 40 times per game, you WILL throw 1 INT.
FYI Dan Marino for his career had an INT rate of 3.0%. Bortles at 3.1% now at age 23.
LOL at all these Jags fans getting up in arms with 1 INT per game. It's supposed to happen; its football.
I'm with you, man. Bortles is definitely something to be admired. I'm happy with him
He's 2nd in the NFL in pass attempts, HE WILL ALWAYS throw 1 INT per game. Get over it and focus on the rest of the team getting better. Especially the defense which has allowed the MOST points in franchise history
He now has 22 TDs, and needs 2 more to break the record.
I'm not sure what the record is for most ints is.
He will also shatter the passing yards record this season.
TJ Yeldon isn't the player that is keeping us in these close ball games. It's our passing game.
He completed a pass to 10 different receivers today.

Blake is doing great
It's not BB5 that worries me about this team. He's the only reason we look halfway respectable. The fact that we have a defensive minded HC that can't get anything out of our defense is just killing us.
Oh and the fact that we seem to give up on the run game so quickly in almost every game isn't helping either.
When and where are big when turnovers come into play.
I'm fine with INTs here and there from Bortles. He's aggressive and he takes shots. INTs are going to come with that. It's the INTs that happen at the end of halfs and when we're backed up at our end of the field. He really needs to cut back on those.

Those INTs would be meaningless to you if this team actually had a defense and a head coach who knew what he was doing coaching defense.

An INT at your own 25 yard line, with 1:54 left in the 2nd quarter is never meaningless.
Especially when you're already down points and the other team gets the ball to start the 2nd half.
If you wanna use the pass attempts as an excuse for the int's, you also have to take it into account when looking at the yardage and TD's. All in all, Bortles I think hasn't been as bad as some people have made him out to be but also not as good as some other have made him out to be. I think we should be happy overall with his progress but expect him to cut down the critical mistakes (like int's deep in his own territory, throwing past the los twice in the red zone)

Ok then tell Brett Farve and Dan Marino that. Somehow those guys have the same INT stats yet had good defenses and good head coaches. We have neither.

Ok, give me a few minutes and I'll call them both up on a 3 way.
This defense is historically bad. It's sad people don't understand statistics.

Imagine if a Qb threw 42 INTs in a season now.
Bortles threw the ball today 49 times and had 1 INT.....he actually improved his INT rate today.
The defense did not improve their 27 PPG allowed.
